We want to have reliable and committed members on board to make things happen. The RGSSS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION has a set of objectives:

Being past students of RGSSS, we are looking forward to start a peer-mentoring activity. We would be mentoring the current RGSSS students, helping them out through our valuable experience acquired as an RGSSS Student. We are sure there are many girls among us who ha

ve been:
Elocution Contest Participants, Literature competitions Participants, MUN Participants etc...

and some of us even came out Winning those competitions. We believe you would all like to help current students achieve what we have achieved for our College. Not only shall we help Academically, we can also contribute in Humanitarian events like Charity Events, Fundraising, and holding campaigns. We can also organise meetings with our respective teachers, go on an outing together, get guest speakers in college to motivate students etc...

We shall focus about promoting the image of RGSSS through different activities, just like we used to do before. We will need to set up an Executive Committee soon to get the society started (deal with boring bureaucracy paperworks). The committee members will not be elected as a start, reason being, the society is only starting now and we want to have people we know to kickstart the society. Remember, it's not about the title, it is about being in this together. Over the years, right from the 1st member of the group to the 567th member today (still counting), we can proudly say that we have succeeded in getting most of the RGSSS family united together in this social platform. Now it is time to solidify this relationship and strengthen our bonds. Not only strengthening, but maintaining our bonds permanently. Le rêve d’être une scientiste pour rejoindre la Nasa : « Pas sir mo reve pour realizer akoz nou pov » avance Vedika

Il y a des histoires qui surprennent agréablement et qui donnent de l’espoir à toute une génération. Comme tous les enfants à travers le monde qui souhaitent devenir quelqu’un dans la vie…Ici à Maurice, également, il y a une toute petite fille très brillante qui souhaite devenir une scientifique pour rejoindre la NASA. Elle c’est Vedika Ladaroo, âgée de 13 ans, domiciliée à Belle Mare. Issue d’une famille très pauvre, cette jeune élève du collège Rajcoomar Gujadhur SSS brille par excellence depuis toute petite. Une équipe de Wazaa FM est allée à la rencontre de cette famille qui vit dans une situation de précarité.

Vedika, dont son entourage la surnomme Khushi est la fille d’un pêcheur. D’une voix très timide, elle soutient que ce n’est pas nécessaire d’être une fille de professionnels ou d’intellectuels pour se trouver parmi la crème de la crème.

Mais en conséquence de leurs conditions précaires, Vedika avance en larme « Mo pas sir mo rev pour ale travail dans NASA pou realizer akoz nou pov. »

Mais son père plus connu comme Bhai ji concède que malgré les moyens financiers limités, il fera tout pour réaliser le rêve de sa fille jusqu’à la mort.
