Westcoast International Secondary School Westcoast International Secondary School provides a challenging, engaging and internationally-minded education in world-class facilities

Founded in 2014, Westcoast International Secondary School, the only English-medium secondary school on the west coast of the island, is part of the Uniciti Education Hub encompassing the whole education offer of Uniciti. In Form 1 to 3, a challenging, engaging and international minded concept focused curriculum is studied by all pupils, the Cambridge Lower Secondary curriculum (CLS). It is our jo

b – of course – to engage all students in their learning but also to encourage and develop intellectual independence to a high level. In form 4 and 5, the students work on a curriculum established for the IGCSE. These are external exams, set and marked by Cambridge, England and taken at the end of Form 5. WISS is an International Baccalaureate World School and is authorised to implement the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The programme started in January 2020 with form 6 students. Our classes are small with a maximum of 25 students, in order to emphasise individual attention. As soon as you enter our building, you will notice that our students are well-rounded, friendly, open minded and true global citizens who work hard and enjoy learning. If you get the chance, please do come and visit us. We’ll all be delighted to see you.

As part of our Sustainable September initiatives, WISS Library is delighted to collaborate
with several departments throughout September to offer students a variety of engaging sustainability-themed activities.

Held every Thursday during Lower & Upper School Lunch, these activities will combine
learning, creativity, and environmental awareness. Through art, puzzles, quizzes, language games, and discussions, students will explore sustainability beyond the classroom while developing teamwork, problem-solving skills, and a greater sense of environmental
responsibility.

We look forward to welcoming our students to the Library / Zen Garden each week as we
learn, create, collaborate and work together towards a more sustainable future.

Please see the weekly schedule of each activities.

We are delighted to congratulate our students, teachers, parents, and the wider school community on the excellent achievements of our June 2026 IGCSE French First Language cohort.

This accomplishment is particularly significant. Our students took on the considerable challenge of completing a demanding IGCSE First Language syllabus in less than a year and a half, demonstrating commitment, perseverance, and resilience throughout the journey.

We are very proud to celebrate:

• 100% pass rate
• 11 students achieving Grades A or B
• 26 out of 37 students achieving Grades A–C

These results reflect not only the hard work and determination of our students, but also the dedication of our French teachers and the invaluable support provided by parents and the wider school community.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable achievement. It is a wonderful example of what can be accomplished through high expectations, commitment, collaboration, and a shared belief in our students' potential.

Bravo to our June 2026 IGCSE French First Language cohort!

From Ideas to Impact at WISS! 🌟

From 30 July – 1 August 2026, students at Westcoast International Secondary School took part in the Leadership & Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program, delivered in collaboration with Learn With Leaders and featuring faculty from Harvard Business Impact, led by Dr. Jojo.

Over three action-packed days, students transformed their personal values into real business ideas, developing promotional videos, presentations, websites and apps before pitching their ideas.

🏆 The standard was so high that two winning teams were selected. With both teams creating functioning apps and websites in just two days!

A huge congratulations to all our students for their creativity, teamwork, confidence and entrepreneurial spirit. 💡👏

Our inaugural WMUN Law Mock Trial 2026 marked the culmination of two weeks of intensive preparation, equipping participants with discipline, diplomacy, critical thinking, and the ability to solve problems under pressure.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Husseyn Mohamed for preparing the case materials; Mr Zakir Mohamed, Mr Husseyn Mohamed, and Jeevesh Augnoo for training our participants; and Mr Hiteshwar Gunesh for preparing our jurors.

With a distinguished panel of legal professionals and a jury comprising parents, teachers, and students, participants confidently argued both a larceny and a murder case. Despite last-minute team changes, they demonstrated remarkable adaptability, confidence, advocacy skills, and courtroom etiquette throughout the proceedings.

Sincere appreciation is extended to our lawyers and judge for their guidance, fair judgment, and encouragement in making this inaugural edition a success. The enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication shown by everyone involved have laid a strong foundation for many more editions to come.

⚖️ Here’s to inspiring the next generation of advocates, leaders, and changemakers.

One week ago, our Form 6 and Form 7 students were exploring the beauty of Rodrigues through their CAS journey. 🌿

From hiking breathtaking trails and learning the art of traditional basket weaving to volunteering at the tortoise shelter, every experience challenged them to step outside their comfort zones, connect with the local community, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

CAS is about more than completing activities—it’s about growing through meaningful experiences. Rodrigues certainly delivered. 💚
