📚 A new school year, a new adventure!

We look forward to welcoming all our parents to the Parents’ Introductory Meetings on Thursday 24th September at St Dorothy’s Junior School, Żebbuġ.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, learn more about the year ahead and find out what’s in store for our students.

Our Pre-Loved Uniform Sale will also take place on the same day, so it’s a great chance to pick up some school essentials too!

Throughout the scholastic year, our school organised a variety of educational activities that gave us the opportunity to support several NGOs that carry out valuable work within our community and beyond.

In one of our last morning assemblies, we welcomed:

• Ms Alison Sciberras from Richmond Foundation who was given a donation following our World Mental Health Day Activities held in Term 1.
• Ms Joeanna Xerri from Down Syndrome Association Malta who was given a donation following Odd Socks Day in Term 2.
• Ms Edith Debattista from Right2Smile Foundation. Ms Debattista, who is one of LSEs, will be doing Missionary Work in Kenya during summer. She was given a donation following our Crazy Hair Day in Term 3.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families who contributed. Your kindness and support have shown our students the true value of compassion, generosity and working together to help others.

Together, we can make a difference. 💙

Our Grade 2 students took a beautiful step in their journey of faith as they received the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist for the very first time.✝️💛

With joyful and grateful hearts, we celebrated this sacred milestone, giving thanks to God for the gift of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. May this special day strengthen our children in their faith, fill their hearts with God's grace, and inspire them to walk always in His light and love.

May the Lord continue to bless and guide them as they grow in faith, hope, and love.🙏

We are extremely proud of Mia Avery Zammit, a Grade 6 student who has now completed her educational journey at our school. 🎓

As a thoughtful gesture of appreciation, Mia donated a set of books to our school library as a thank you gift. 📖❤️

We especially loved her beautiful quote:

Our school community is proud of Arielle Cauchi (Pre-Grade), Penelope Richards (Grade 1), Joelle Caruana (Grade 2), Aurora Maria Attard (Grade 3), Clara Elisa Calleja (Grade 4), Michela Bugeja (Grade 5) and Scarlette Grace Grech Lautier (Grace 6) who have been awarded the St Paula Merit Award.

This award, which has been introduced this year, will be given every year to a student from each class who is a true witness of the values cherished by St Paula – our School Foundress.

Through their actions, these students beautifully embody the values of Dorothean Education, rooted in a deep respect for the dignity and uniqueness of every person and inspired by Christ’s call to love and serve the poor and those most in need. Their commitment reflects a spirit of compassion, understanding, and selfless service, bringing Gospel values to life in their daily encounters with others.

Issa li qed noqorbu lejn tmiem is-sena skolastika, l-istudenti qed jistennew il-vaganzi tas-sajf ☀️. Bħala parti mill-ħidma tal-iskola tagħna biex ninkoraġġixxu l-qari tul il-vaganzi tas-sajf, ħdimna flimkien mal-Literacy Support Teacher tal-iskola biex nagħtu dawn il-Ġurnali tal-Qari għall-qari bil-Malti u bl-Ingliż lill-istudenti tal-Ewwel u t-Tieni Sena. 📔. Ħeġġiġna lill-istudenti tagħna biex isibu ħin għal kollox - biex jirrilassaw u jgawdu l-baħar⛱️... imma ma jinsewx ukoll jaqraw xi ktieb sabiħ! 🙂

Our school community came together to celebrate the feast of St Paula Frassinetti, the beloved foundress of the Sisters of Saint Dorothy. 💙

As part of our Special Assembly, our Grade 6 students delivered an inspiring presentation highlighting the values St Paula cherished and promoted. 📖

This year also marked the launch of a new school initiative – the St Paula Award Certificate. One student from each class was recognised for being a shining example of the values and virtues embodied by St Paula Frassinetti. 👏🌟

All students sang the song about the life and legacy of St Paula which was prepared by our Grade 1 teacher.

The celebrations continued with a special Mass attended by all students, honouring our Foundress and reflecting on her enduring mission and example. 🙏

To conclude this joyful occasion, the students enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream treat! 🍦😋

May the spirit of St Paula continue to shine in our hearts and in all that we do.
