Mess around organises weekly activities held by 2 qualified Educators that consist of a 1 hour session where the children can enjoy getting messy without any trouble :D We decided to establish Mess Around since there are little to no places in the south of Malta that provide the opportunity for our little explorers to be creative and messy. We all know how Messy play is important for children’
s development. When children use their hand to squeeze, press and use their fingers/toes, they are learning their fine motor skills by using the muscles in their fingers, wrists arms, toes and shoulders to create small movement. Mess Around welcomes children to join us for an hour of messy fun!! Our time begins with a little introduction and some movement, this will help break the ice between the children. The session then continues with an interesting story telling that will help the children’s cognitive development and stimulate their imagination and curiosity. Next part is the most exciting one!! The messy/sensory play. The children will have some fun using different materials that promote their fine motor skills and inspire their creativity and imagination. Through this multi-sensory experience the children will become aware of different textures and senses. Looking forward to seeing you at Mess Around for lots of messy hands and FUN !!
