Yesterday, the synthetic turf and safety rubber flooring for our School Yard Project were delivered to school, bringing us one step closer to transforming our outdoor space into a modern, vibrant, and child-friendly environment.
This ambitious project will turn our current yard into an engaging space that promotes play, sport, wellbeing, and social interaction for all our children.

Last Thursday, we celebrated the graduation of our Kinder 2 children during a beautiful and joyful ceremony.
We extend our sincere thanks to Rev. Emanuel Magro, Bishopโs Delegate for Church Schools, for celebrating Holy Mass with us. In his message, he reminded parents of the importance of spending quality time with their children and encouraged our young graduates to continue loving and following Jesus in their daily lives.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all our dedicated staff for their hard work, care, and commitment throughout the years and to all parents for their continuous support and trust.

Our children always look forward to their regular visits to the Gozo Central Public Library, where they explore the wonderful world of books, stories, and learning.
These visits help nurture a love for reading, encourage curiosity, and give students the opportunity to discover new interests in a welcoming environment.
A big thank you to the library staff for always making our children feel so welcome and inspiring them to keep reading and learning!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the new cohort of parents and children who will be joining our school for the next scholastic year.
It was wonderful to meet our future children and their families during the Orientation Visit, giving them the opportunity to explore our school environment, meet the team, and begin this exciting new journey with us.

The day unfolded as a truly special occasion, bringing our school community together in a spirit of reflection, joy, and celebration.
We began in a meaningful way with a beautiful Mass. We extend our thanks to Fr Joseph Hili, who shared an inspiring message with our children about the importance of being responsible citizens. He reminded us that even the simplest actions matter, and that positive change always starts from within each one of us.
The celebrations continued with a wonderful musical experience as the children enjoyed an uplifting performance by the AFM Brass Quintet. Our youngest learners delighted in nursery rhymes, while the upper years had a fantastic time singing, dancing, and cheering along to popular songs like Frozen, Sweet Caroline, and Roar.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mro Colin Attard and his band for their fantastic contribution.
This initiative also supports a great cause, with donations going towards the Malta Community Chest Fund. A day filled with reflection, music, happiness, and generosit, truly one to remember!

In the upper years, children are guided through the writing process step by step. They plan their ideas and are provided with word banks and useful expressions.
During the independent writing stage, learners are supported with sentence starters, expressions and checklists to help them write with confidence and structure their ideas clearly.
With this support, children develop independence and express their ideas more effectively.

In our Early Years environment, learning is shaped not only by what children experience, but by how they are supported along the way.
Within a Montessori setting, the role of the educator is thoughtful, intentional, and grounded in respect for each child.
Rather than leading every moment, educators observe with care.
They allow time for children to think, explore, and try independently.
They step in with purpose and step back with trust.
Through this approach, educators come to understand each child more deeply: their interests, their pace, and their unique way of engaging with the world.
This perspective recognises the child as capable, curious, and naturally motivated to learn.
The educatorโs role is to prepare an environment that nurtures independence, concentration, and confidence, while responding with patience and awareness.
When children are given the space to repeat, to focus, and to discover for themselves, meaningful learning begins to unfold.
And in those moments where the adult steps back with intention, children are empowered to step forward: growing in confidence, ability, and a true love for learning.
