During the first week of March, Year 7 and Year 8 students were assigned an Information Literacy Skills (ILS) project entitled ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฝ. Each student was given a different topic related to the tournament in order to explore a variety of aspects, including the host countries, stadiums, participating teams, national flags, famous players, and traditional cuisine.
One of the main reasons for selecting this topic was that the tournament will take place in June and July 2026, making it a timely, relevant, and exciting global sporting event for students to investigate and learn about. Through this project, students were encouraged to develop their research, writing, and presentation skills while gaining a deeper understanding of one of the worldโs most popular sporting events.
During the third term, students presented their completed projects to the class. This provided them with an opportunity to share their findings, learn from one another, and further develop their confidence in public speaking.
