In this workshop, I hope to teach you the basic fundamentals of lifting with free weights and a step by step guide on how to perform the barbell squat. Arguably one of, if not, the best exercise you can perform in the gym.

Protect your low back in anything that you do with this simple, basic human 'technique'!😎
Bracing is very simple to do but easy to get wrong. You may think you're bracing correctly but you're actually just puffing up your chest and sucking your stomach in.
To brace correctly, you must-
1️⃣Breath INTO the stomach
2️⃣Hold the breath (for duration of rep)
3️⃣Squeeze the abs HARD
4️⃣Lift
5️⃣Repeat
That's it.
The harder you squeeze and greater the breath, the more success you'll have with your lifts.
Doing this correctly will stabilise your 'core' and make it far more resilient to injury.
You already do this naturally outside the gym when you pick up heavy things or push heavy things (like a car), now, just consciously do it inside the gym! :)

A new beginning😎
Why?
I felt a change was needed. I have so many awesome projects I’m excited to try out and I want to do these projects under a fresh new brand😁
But also, I never really liked the name ClaivFitness, so this was an excuse to change that hehe😅
And for anyone wondering, Claivion-Mario Said Is actually my full name.

Every good training program should be chock full of good quality compound exercises👍
The list of compound exercises is quite literally endless but a here's a few that you can't go wrong with -
Squats
Rows
Bench presses
Deadlifts
Chins, pull ups & lat pulldowns
Shoulder presses
Olympic lifts
Lunges
And most variations of these exercises are pretty solid too.
There's a load more but these should be the bread and butter of your training as there's no other exercises that give you a better bang for your buck. And also, keep em free weight😉.
