BACHprogramme training in the studios of Heritage Malta where video, sound and digital products are produced to reach out and engage. Technicians and experts shared views and experiences about and collective , 3D imaging and AI interferences with manipulation of images. Interestingly models produced were also used as models or basis for productions.

Long days of encounters and training.
An exchange with experts in the conservation and restoration of paper at the labs of Heritage Malta was very revealing for the participants about various elements that bring about the deterioration and destruction of paper. It also brought insight into approaches and techniques for restoration and into how documents are valued according to relevance, printed against manuscripts and the stories behind them.

Valuable time spent with Joseph Schiro, expert in the restoration of paper, conservation of books, maps and all things history that shape stories and identities. Three key members of staff of the Néprajzi Múzeum participated in three days training visit as part of the funded under the programme.
The training fostered transfer of knowledge and expertise between countries however, most importantly, between passions and diverse disciplines that come to work together in a great way if one makes the time to think, plan and project ideas into the future.

Another museum has joined the .
Csemadok Mestský výbor Košice forms part of the wider Csemadok organisation, that contributes to the preservation, presentation and promotion of Hungarian cultural and literary heritage in Košice and the surrounding region. Its activities are connected with the heritage of Márai Sándor, writer and journalist born in Košice. The exhibition presents the writer’s life and work in his birthplace and is operated in cooperation with the Slovak National Museum’s Museum of the Hungarian Culture in Slovakia.

A Márai Sándor Emlékkiállítást 2019. január 22-én, a Magyar Kultúra Napja alkalmából nyitottuk meg. Az irodalmi emlékhely létrejöttét hosszú előkészületek, tárgyalások és munkálatok előzték meg.

BACHprogramme training in Rome
The training was by Associazione ValIda and the participants were from the Néprajzi Múzeum , the Museum of Ethnography of Budapest from the education department and from Heritage Malta involved in the development of the ethnography museum in . The training included a number of exchanges with local organisations about practices in interpretation of ethnographic contexts.
This training was funded under the Erasmus+ programme.

A new website Https://bachprogramme.com has been set up to feature the changes and growth that is in the in 2022, what we all grew together until the started in 2023.
Several have been working in the background to achieve the growth and changes that we have experienced in the last two years.
At the moment we are engaged in developing new funding opportunities for our members especially those who are beginners to such as ours.

We have a new member in the .
Màrai Sàndor Foundation of Budapest is dedicated to all matters related to the life and legacy of the great Hungarian writer Sándor Márai. Its organises events, exhibitions, and conferences, conducts historical and biographical research on Sándor Márai and his family. It is committed to studying, preserving, and promoting the historical documents related to Sándor Márai that are in its possession including previously unpublished original video recordings, letters signed by the writer and his wife and sent to their Italian and Hungarian friends, as well as the study of Márai’s personal library, comprising approximately 300 volumes in eight different languages.

For colleagues in the and the wider heritage community: this 5‑day course **“Ethnographic Collections and Recollections in Museum Education”** explores how everyday culture (food, faith, landscapes, language) can inspire more meaningful **museum products, services and visitor experiences**. 🧠🏛️

Ideal for professionals working in:
- museums and heritage sites
- adult education and vocational training
- audience development, learning and public engagement

The course is **eligible for Erasmus+ staff mobility funding (KA1)**, so organisations can use their existing projects or accreditation to support participation. 💶✈️

From 1–5 July 2026, ValIda is delivering the international training
**“Ethnographic Collections and Recollections in Museum Education”** in the Castelli Romani area and in Rome.

👉 5 days to:
- explore how food, faith, language and landscapes shape everyday heritage
- experiment with ethnographic methods and storytelling in and around museums
- connect with colleagues from across Europe and co-design new learning experiences

This course is eligible for Erasmus+ staff training funding under KA1 (Adult Education, VET, Higher Education): your organisation can use its mobility budget/accreditation or a short-term project to cover travel, subsistence and course fees. ✅
