'This id Coop' is a newly set up vehicle by At Albert the Great College staff using the cooperative model as an educational and business initiative. It seeks to provide services which provide possibilities for employment to former students who find it difficult to engage in the world of work.

This is another initiative that amplifies the inclusive practices already offered at the college.

This photo submitted by Andrea Zammit (Year eight) was awarded an Honourable Mention by the judges of the Young Reporters for the Environment for 2022. At face value it shows plastic mindlessly left in a trolley. At the same time, it gives gives a message in favour of the need to separate plastic from the rest of the environment (shown by the 'cage' surrounding the plastic). The trolleys, one after another are also a stark reminder of how what we choose to buy, and what we do with the waste we generate, affects the world we live in.

Fr Vince Micallef OP has been elected Provincial of the Maltese Dominican Province during the provincial chapter which is currently underway. He succeeds Fr Frans Micallef OP.
Fr Vince has spent a good part of his ministry in Brazil, apart from serving different communities in Malta.
We wish Fr Vince the wisdom, serenity and the Lord's guidance as he steers the province in its mission. As a college community, we look forward to working with Fr Vince in being a light to the world as we seek to serve God and serve our neighbour, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Fr Frans Micallef, Dominican provincial, bursar to the college and rector for over 20 years has passed away last night. He has been a friend, guide, and mentor; a kind, gentle and humble soul who did his best to serve the good Lord whom he loved so much by serving the people around him. The college will remain indebted to him for his vision, his accompaniment and his dedication in making the college what it is today; welcoming to all who seek to belong.
Fr Frans, may you remain our guardian angel as we keep working towards the inclusion of all especially the most vulnerable. You will be missed, but we are happy for you that you are now in His welcoming arms.
