Sifu Ghassan Kassab was born in Damascus, Syria in 1966. Since childhood he has always been interested in martial arts. His practice in the fighting arts started with street fighting, then in 1985 he trained and served as a commando in the Syrian army for 4 years.

After serving his term in the army he continued to train as a street fighter until 1993 he was introduced to Hung Gar Kung Fu. He soon fell in love with the art and in a relatively short time attained the title of Sifu and he obtained the First Dan Black, and started his own school.
