Your Musical Journey Can Begin Again

Whether you are discovering music for the first time, returning after several years or looking for opportunities to develop your skills and play with others, the CoMusArts Malta Adult Music Programme will offer a welcoming and supportive musical experience.

The programme will include relaxed afternoon and evening sessions, with activities adapted to participants’ experience, confidence and musical interests.

🎵 Complete Beginners

Discover rhythm, singing, instruments and the foundations of music in an encouraging environment. No previous musical experience is required.

🎸 Returning Musicians

Reconnect with an instrument or voice, refresh previously learned skills and gradually rebuild musical confidence without unnecessary pressure.

🎹 Developing Musicians

Strengthen practical skills, musical understanding, listening, rhythm, notation, applied theory, improvisation and ensemble awareness.

🎷 Group Performers

Experience the enjoyment of making music with others through informal ensembles, singing, instrumental activities and relaxed jam sessions.

Participants may explore:

Singing and vocal activities

Rhythm and percussion

Active listening and ear training

Instruments and practical music-making

Applied music theory

Improvisation and creativity

Ensemble playing and jam sessions

Different musical styles and repertoire

The aim is not simply to provide formal lessons, but to create an enjoyable social space where adults can learn, reconnect, develop and make music together.

🎵 CoMusArts Malta Winter Music Programme 🎵

Supporting musical learning beyond the classroom

Following our successful Summer Music Sessions, CoMusArts Malta is preparing a new Winter Programme for children and young people.

Music forms an important part of children’s education up to Year 8. Our Winter Programme will complement this learning through practical, creative and age-appropriate group sessions.

The programme may be particularly helpful for children who have missed music lessons, experienced interruptions in their musical learning or would benefit from additional opportunities to explore music in practice.

Participants will develop their musical knowledge and skills through:

🎤 Singing
🥁 Beat, rhythm and percussion
🎶 Active listening
🤸 Movement and musical games
🎼 Notation and applied music theory
🎹 Instruments and ensemble activities
💡 Creativity and musical exploration

Activities will be adapted to each age group, helping participants reinforce important musical concepts, develop confidence and experience the enjoyment of making music together.

The programme is designed to complement school music education, strengthen understanding and help address possible learning gaps through active participation.

🎼 Music Theory in Action
Listen • Play • Understand • Create

Music theory should not only be studied—it should be heard, played and understood.

CoMusArts Malta is exploring a practical and engaging approach to music theory for children, teenagers and adults. Participants will discover how music works through active listening, singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, improvisation, composition and group music-making.

Activities will be organised according to age and ability, allowing every participant to learn at an appropriate level.

🎵 Younger participants will explore beat, rhythm, tempo, musical patterns, notation and melody through games and creative activities.

🎶 Older children and teenagers will develop their understanding of scales, intervals, chords, key signatures, musical form, composition and arrangement.

🎹 Adult learners will explore notation, rhythm, scales, chords, lead sheets, ear training and musical structure—whether they are complete beginners, returning to music or already play an instrument.

The aim is to connect musical knowledge with real musical experience—helping participants understand what they hear, sing, play and create.

No endless theory without context.
No unnecessary pressure.
Just practical musical learning adapted to each age group.
