Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause the Captain Cook Cooking Club this year.

We want to sincerely thank each of you for being part of our journey. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and love for cooking made the club a truly special experience.

This isn’t goodbye forever! Stay on the lookout for future activities—we’re hopeful that we’ll be back soon with fresh ideas and exciting opportunities.

Regards,
Ms.Elisha and Ms.Ilona

Dear all,

Once again, we are so humbled and grateful for your support and participation throughout our journey of Captain Cook Cooking Club.

It was our pleasure to see all the kids with smiles on their faces every time they accomplished making a new dish.

With your help, Captain Cook Cooking Club donated money to Puttinu Cares. We could not have done this without you! 🙏🏼

Special thanks also goes to MRC - St. Paul's Bay Primary for trusting us with a fully equipped kitchen and Thanks A Million for sponsoring us with utensils.

Thank you 🙏

Last Tuesday the kids made "Rock Buns". They learnt:

1. That Rock Buns originated during the war because the recipe uses fewer eggs and less flour than other cakes.
2. That when a small eggshell falls into a cracked egg, it is easier to pick it up with another piece of eggshell.
3. That smaller buns take less time to cook than larger ones, which is why it was important to make four equal-sized buns.
4. That using their fingertips to rub the butter together with the flour before making the dough is important because fingertips are the coldest part of our body, preventing the butter from melting too easily.

Well done, mini chefs! See you next time. ;)

For our very last session before the Easter Holidays, the children made "Bunny's Treat" - Orange Flavoured Coconut Balls. They have:

1. Been given the opportunity to feel their mixture and decide when it has the right consistency before rolling their coconut balls.
