Clay portraits in profile, inspired by one of our all time favourite sculptures : Nefertiti 🫶

Our little artists had a close look at Egyptian art and artefacts, focused on sketching portraits in profile and combined their skills to create these beautiful terracotta clay portraits 💚

☕🪡🧵 Sewing these gorgeous felt teacups with our Summer Campers 🧵🪡☕
From designing the shape of each teacup, choosing + cutting the fabric & stitching the beaded patterns, each teacup records a learning journey 🩷
We are so proud of how well each little artist worked on this project, learning + improving their skills as well as challenging themselves 🥰✨

🐉🌸 a little moment for our collages inspired by that story of Mulan 🌸🐉 we love seeing how such little paper shapes can be combined to create original characters 💚

Designing the outfits + working on our scissor skills to achieve the little details which make each artwork unique ✨

It's week 6 of our Summer at the Studio 💙
We finished off our final project inspired by the beautiful ancient Egyptian sculpture of Nefertiti + started our explorations of Vikings + Nordic cultures ✨
From beautiful landscapes to detailed knot + character design, we're enjoying this creative journey very much 🥰

Summer camp week 5 💛🐈‍⬛✨
Continuing with our projects inspired by Ancient Egypt, we made cat prints, created scarab beetle treasure chests + clay slabs, made watercolour paintings with gold accents ( of Egyptian cats of course) & created a journey along the Nile river ☀️

We've loved all the ideas this theme allowed us to explore & seeing the kids invested in different techniques, imagery + ideas from Ancient cultures brings so much joy 🥰😍

A moment for our clay dragons, inspired by representations in Ancient Chinese Art + the story of Mulan 🐉💚

We loved working in clay, shaping the dragon bodies + adding all the details 🥰🥳

Week 4 of Summer Camp ☀️
Wait how are we half way already!?
Smiles + fun was had as we finished off our projects inspired by Ancient China, and moved on to our explorations of Ancient Egypt & we have to say, this has been quite the crowd favourite 💛✨

Summer Camp is on just on Monday + Tuesday this week, as we will be closed for a short Santa Maria break on Wednesday 12th.

We will reopen on Wednesday 18th for the second half of our Summer together 💕
