Being parents ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to be in employment and making sure that your children are being well taken care of at the same time our centre is furnished with high quality child care equipment, and we adhere to all the health and safety requirements. You shouldn't have to worry about the safety of your child, as we make it our highest priority. Our secure building contains cameras in every room. All our staff members are certified in pediatric first aid.

✨ Exploring Light, Reflections & Textures ✨

Today, our babies enjoyed a lovely sensory activity using a box, CDs, light, and different fabrics. 💡🌈

Through this experience, the babies had the opportunity to explore with their senses, observe light and reflections, and feel a variety of textures.

This activity encouraged visual and tactile stimulation, curiosity, focus, and coordination, while allowing the babies to learn naturally through exploration and play. 👶🤍 Well done to our educators in the baby room for this wonderful activity ❤️

Today our babies enjoyed a Rainbow 🌈 Sensory Activity. Colourful scarves were attached to a hula hoop to create a simple sensory activity for babies. Babies look at the bright colours, watch the scarves move, reach toward them, and touch or grasp the fabric while the hoop is moved slowly. This activity encourages curiosity, shared attention, visual tracking, and early physical movement.

Today during circle time, the children enjoyed exploring a lovely book about farm animals. They were very interested and engaged throughout the story, listening carefully and getting excited as each animal appeared. The children had lots of fun making the different animal sounds, such as “moo,” “oink,” and “baa,” while joining in with big smiles and enthusiasm. It was a lovely, interactive experience that encouraged their language, listening skills, and imagination. 🐄🐷🐑❤️

Today, the children had lots of fun taking part in a messy play activity using just three simple ingredients: cocoa, Weetabix, and cereal. Together, we created a soft, chocolatey “mud” for the children to explore. 🐾🤎 The children enjoyed getting their hands messy, scooping, mixing, squishing, and exploring the different textures. They also used farm animals to create their own little muddy adventures, making the activity fun and imaginative. It was a wonderful sensory experience that encouraged creativity, exploration, and lots of smiles! 🐄🐷🐑✨

Learning Web: Poor Bear

The children gathered to read Poor Bear and explored the story through illustrations, props and interactive discussion, with the story connected to our focus on weather. They were encouraged to look closely at the pictures, point to familiar characters and objects, and explore the props as the story developed. The children explored cotton wool while creating a cloudy sky, using their fingers to pick up, place and manipulate the soft material on the glued template. The open-ended activity encouraged them to explore the texture and experiment with the material in different ways, while supporting grasp and release, hand-eye coordination, finger strength and developing fine-motor control. ☁️🤲✨

Today, the children took part in a construction and craft activity based on building and decorating a house for Bear. They explored placing and removing sticks on a glued house template, using their hands to arrange the materials. They then decorated house templates with colourful pompoms and kite paper. The activities supported grasping, releasing, finger control, hand-eye coordination and controlled placement, while also providing opportunities for sensory and creative exploration. 🎨🧱🏠

Fine Motor skill - Feed Bear

The children were invited to feed Poor Bear by picking up fish and insect puzzle pieces from a bowl and sticking them onto Bear’s sticky belly. They explored the pieces using their hands and practised placing them onto the correct area. 🐟🦋🐻

The activity supported fine motor development, grasping, hand-eye coordination, releasing and placing objects, while also encouraging concentration and persistence as the children attempted to stick the pieces onto Bear. 👐🧩✨
