Last week, our Head of Department, Dr Claudine Borg, was invited to Amsterdam by the Centre of Expertise for Literary Translation / Expertisecentrum Literair Vertalen (ELV) to deliver a guest talk as part of ELV Fest, marking ELV’s 25th anniversary on International Translation Day.

Her talk was part of Kennisbank Live (Knowledge Bank Live), a special event bringing together translation researchers and practising translators, and focused on autoethnography in literary translation and translation as a reflective practice.

Register for the study-unit TTI3000: 'Introduction to Translation and Interpreting', which starts in Semester 2. Open to second- and third-year undergraduate students only.

This study-unit partly replaces the former DegreePlus study-unit 'Introduction to Interpreting'.

Recently, Dr. Giselle Spiteri Miggiani was invited to lecture at the 'Università degli Studi di Torino as part of the Master in Traduzione per il Cinema, la Televisione e l'Editoria Multimediale'. Her intensive workshop focused on the newly emerging competencies and skills required in the era of AI-mediated workflows, offering postgraduate students practical training in AI Dubbing and Voice-Over.
