Today, the Department of Pharmacy hosted the Medicinal Chemistry Mini Symposium 2026, featuring a range of presentations by fourth year students on topics of drug design, pharmaceutical formulation, and pharmaceutical analysis.
We were also honoured to welcome a delegation on an Official Academic Visit from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Burapha University, Thailand, led by the Dean, Professor Nuttinee Teerakulkittipong. Their presence enriched the event and strengthened academic ties between our institutions.

The Department of Pharmacy proudly congratulates our students who graduated during the March 2026 graduation ceremony.

A total of 46 students were awarded the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree, 8 students successfully completed the Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD), and 6 students graduated with a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science. In addition, 2 students concluded their studies with a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science. The ceremony also celebrated the graduation of 1 student who obtained a Master of Science in Pharmacy and 1 student who was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

This milestone marks the culmination of years of dedication, resilience, and academic commitment. We are immensely proud of our graduates and their achievements, and we look forward to seeing the important contributions they will make to the pharmacy profession, healthcare, and the wider scientific community.

Congratulations to all our graduates and best wishes for your future careers.

The final day of the Annual Pharmacy Symposium opened with presentations by MPharm students focusing on Digital Health and Pharmacy Education, exploring topics such as pharmacist-led patient monitoring through digital tools, medicines information systems, and the role of artificial intelligence in pharmacy education.
This was followed by a poster discussion session presented by BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Sciences fourth-year students, showcasing research related to pharmacy practice and pharmacotherapeutics.

The symposium concluded with the presentation of awards by our sponsors recognising outstanding student contributions, including the Best Pharmaceutical Technology Presentation Award, Best Doctorate Presentation Award, Best MPharm Presentation Award, and Best MSc Presentation Award.

A special moment closed the event as our final year students shared a video reflecting on their journey and memories throughout their student years, bringing the 2026 Pharmacy Symposium to a memorable close.

Day 3 showcased the breadth of innovation within pharmacy, with presentations from Pharmaceutical Technology students, alongside MPharm students discussing Pharmacotherapeutics, Social & Administrative Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Analysis and Medicinal Chemistry.

From artificial intelligence and sustainability to advanced therapies and drug design, today’s sessions highlighted the scientific depth and evolving landscape of the profession.

Day 2 featured engaging presentations from MPharm students in Pharmacy Practice, addressing prescribing cascades, geriatric care, emergency preparedness, and community pharmacy services.

Our MPhil/PhD students also shared insights on regulatory sciences, medical devices, 3D-printing and GMP challenges, and innovative pharmaceutical research. The day concluded with a student feedback seminar, encouraging reflection and continuous improvement.

Another engaging day showcasing innovation, research, and the future of pharmacy.
