Professor Anthony Serracino Inglott was awarded the Fellowship by the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP) in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of clinical pharmacy in general and in Europe as well as his service to ESCP. The award was presented during the 54th ESCP Autumn Symposium organised in Portugal.

The Department of Pharmacy extends its warmest congratulations to the nine pharmacists who have successfully completed their Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) and to another pharmacist who has completed his PhD studies. We wish them every success in their future academic and professional endeavours!

The Department of Pharmacy continued its World Pharmacists Day 2026 Celebrations on 25 September with a programme of reflection, professionalism and community engagement at the Central Auditorium, Medical School, Mater Dei Hospital.

The programme included reflections by pharmacists and pharmaceutical technologists, the Student Pledge of Professionalism, participation by the Malta Pharmaceutical Students’ Association, and an outreach activity at Campus Hub.

A meaningful day celebrating the contribution of pharmacy professionals and students to healthcare and the community.

The Department of Pharmacy, University of Malta, is proud to continue its World Pharmacists Day 2026 celebrations.

Join us on Friday, 25 September, as we bring together students, academics and the wider pharmacy community for a series of activities celebrating the vital role of pharmacists and pharmaceutical technologists in healthcare.

The programme will feature opportunities for reflection, professional engagement, community outreach and public awareness, highlighting the contribution of pharmacy to safer, stronger and more sustainable healthcare.

The Department of Pharmacy commenced its World Pharmacists Day 2026 Celebrations on 16 September, at the Central Auditorium, Medical School, Mater Dei Hospital.

The programme featured an engaging session on “Innovative Research and Entrepreneurship in Pharmacy”, delivered by guest speaker Professor Barrie Kellam, Head of the School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham, UK.

The celebrations continue on Friday 25 September, with a programme bringing together pharmacists, pharmaceutical technologists, students and members of the wider pharmacy community.

The Department of Pharmacy launched its World Pharmacists Day 2026 celebrations on Wednesday, 16 September, at Mater Dei Hospital’s Central Auditorium, placing a tribute to the late Prof. Paul Cuschieri at the center of the event. The pharmacy community paused for a solemn minute of silence to honor Prof. Cuschieri's extraordinary legacy in bacteriology and his tireless dedication to advancing the understanding of infectious diseases.
