World Blood Cancer Day🩸

On this day we highlight research taking place at the University of Malta exploring the potential of naturally occurring compounds from indigenous Maltese plants in leukaemia research. 🔬🌿

As part of his doctoral studies, Neil Cutajar, is investigating how plant-derived compounds may influence the behaviour of leukaemia cells and contribute to future targeted therapeutic approaches.

While the work remains in an early research phase, it contributes to international efforts aimed at understanding how naturally derived compounds may support future targeted therapeutic approaches in cancer research.

A glimpse into today’s seminar exploring archival methodologies, documentary typologies, and the complex institutional histories connecting the Barberini Archive, Rome, and the Order of St John.

Highlights from the BIP on Managing a European University Alliance: Governance, Communication, and Practice, hosted by the SEA-EU office at University of Malta which took place from 11–15 May 2026 🌍🤝

As the first administrative BIP and the first programme of its kind within the European University of the Seas SEA-EU Alliance, the programme brought together staff from SEA-EU offices of each partner university to exchange knowledge and experiences on how European University Alliances operate in practice, while exploring collaboration, communication, leadership, and the shared challenges and opportunities within strategic partnerships.
