Laws and Theology Library: books donation

Rev. Prof. Charló Camilleri and Dr Glen Attard, members of the of Theology, have made a significant contribution to the Laws and Theology Library through a generous donation of a substantial collection of books. Comprising over 250 volumes, the donation focuses primarily on Spiritual Theology, Mysticism, History of Spirituality, Carmelite Spirituality, Family Spirituality and related fields.

The donated books are currently being catalogued to be integrated into the existing collection at the Laws and Theology Library. This valuable addition will further enrich the Library’s academic resources, supporting the teaching, learning and research needs of students and scholars.

The Library expresses heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Prof. Camilleri and Dr Attard for their thoughtful contribution, which will undoubtedly benefit the University community for years to come.

Join us for an evening of poetry hosted by Ramona Florina at the Library on Friday, 23 October 2026, at 17:30.

Theme: Why Such a Rushed Feeling?

Anger, joy, passion, sadness, fear — emotions can overwhelm us in an instant. But do we ever stop to ask why? Through poetry, let’s explore the feelings that move us, surprise us, and sometimes leave us searching for answers.

✨Every language and background is welcome. We celebrate poetry in all its forms and believe in a community built on respect, openness, and shared inspiration. Discrimination, hatred, and language intended to hurt or offend have no place here.

Read your own poem or simply come as part of the audience and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with poetry, glass of w**e (sponsored by ZVB Wines), and a shared appreciation for the spoken word.

📚 Introducing books from our collection: Agatha Christie – The Queen of Mysteries

Her works can be found in our collection under the shelfmark PR6005.H66, with most titles being recent acquisitions.

Agatha Christie (September 15, 1890 – January 12, 1976) was an English detective novelist and playwright, widely celebrated as the “Queen of Mysteries” and the “Queen of Crime Fiction.” One of the world’s best-selling authors, her works have been translated into around 100 languages and sold over 100 million copies worldwide.

Her debut novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1920), introduced the brilliant Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Christie also created Miss Jane Marple, who first appeared in The Murder at the Vicarage (1930). Through her ingenious plots and masterful storytelling, Christie created an enduring legacy that continues to captivate readers around the world. 🌍📖

Our Librarians were invited to speak on Campus FM! 🎙️

Our Resources Manager, Raelene, and Outreach Librarians Agata and Ryan, joined Campus FM to chat about our Library services, resources, and upcoming events.

We had the opportunity to share a little more about what’s happening at the Library, including our upcoming Bake & Plant Sale, Artisan Market, Poetry events and Bibliotherapy, as well as the different ways our Library supports and connects with our community.

There’s lots to look forward to, so stay tuned for more information!
