Today we commemorate International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

We reflect on a quote a quote by a science great: Madam Curie.

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.

Curie is an inspiration and not just to women or girls in science but to everyone.

A Historic Day for the of Science - University of Malta! 🇲🇹

We are thrilled to see the Sciences rightfully recognised in this year's Republic Day Honours.

We extend our congratulations to our former Dean and current Rector, Prof. Alfred J. Vella, on being appointed a Member of the National Order of Merit (MOM).

We also honour the memory of Edwin Lanfranco, who was posthumously awarded the Midalja għall-Qadi tar-Repubblika (MQR) today.

Prof. Vella and dear Edwin join a distinguished list of Faculty of Science academics who have been honoured by the State for their dedication to research, education, and the environment:
