It was a pleasure this morning for Mr Patrick Decelis, Head of College Network, to meet all the College clerical staff and receptionists of the MRC Admin Centre and the ten MRC schools. The meeting discussed Better Customer Care focusing on continuously improving its service, Time Management, what it means to be a Public Servant, Growth Mindset and the Power of Yet, Performance Appraisal and the Extra Mile.
This was a successful meeting which served not only as professional development but also as a teambuilding and networking event.

Is-Sur Decelis, Kap tan-Netwerk tal-Kullegg, enfasizza l-importanza ta’ sehem il-genituri fl-edukazzjoni ta’ uliedhom u irringrazzja lill-kelliema, Mr A. Zammit (FCSL) u lil Ms D. Galea u Ms F. Cini, Occupational Therapists tal-informazzjoni utli dwar kif il-genituri ghandhom jippreparaw lil uliedhom ghall-iskola.

On Thursday 2nd July and Friday 3rd July 2026 Maria Regina College, organised two meetings, one in Maltese and another one in English about 'Skills for Success: What every parent needs to know'. These were successful meetings for parents/guardians whose children will start attending Kinder 1 in October 2026. Mr Decelis, the Head of College Network, emphasised the importance of the parents’ role in educating our students. Parents/guardians had the opportunity to listen to tips from the Occupational Therapists who work within Maria Regina College, about how to prepare their children to be school ready.
Mr Decelis thanked the Occupational Therapists and Mr A. Zammit (FCSL) for delivering an interesting session.

On Wednesday 1st July 2026, Maria Regina College organised another fruitful end of year evaluative meeting with 1st year NQTs/NRTs. The importance of giving quality education for all students and caring for them, and the impact of evaluation were emphasised by Mr Patrick Decelis, Head College Network and Ms Mary Rose Cordina, EO Curriculum. Mr Decelis encouraged NQTs/NRTs to seek professional development and to become reflective practitioners and continue studying. All participants had time to talk about challenges they faced during their first year of teaching experience and also about positive experiences. Ms Catherine Tanti, EO Education Resources, attended the meeting and discussed the 2nd year Induction process with them.

MRC CoH, bid farewell and thanked Mr Ralph Camilleri for his endeavours at MRC Mellieha Primary as Head of School and wished him all the best in his new school. A token of appreciation was given.

They also welcomed Mr Roberto Zammit who will be replacing Mr Camilleri and wished him all the best in his new role and promised their support, now that he forms part of the MRC family.

In the Secondary section MRC Mosta Secondary Lily of the Valley came in fourth and first place National Shield was won by MRC Naxxar Middle School.

A very productive meeting was held on 12 June 2026 at the MRC Administration Centre between Head College Network Mr Patrick Decelis and Maria Regina College School Council Presidents.
On the agenda, themes like the present situation at the College, the importance of the School Council and the role of the President. A discussion was held about the best way forward to have effective councils which make a difference for the best education of all our students.
