We are incredibly proud of our students Elyzaveta Gryazyuk and Khrystyna Kucherenko, together with their teachers Ms Lorraine Abela and Ms Sabrina Muscat, for receiving recognition through the YRE (Young Reporters for the Environment) International Awards.

YRE is a global programme that empowers young people to report on environmental issues while promoting sustainability, creativity, and quality education.

At Maria Regina College, Lily of the Valley, Mosta, our school panto became “more than a performance; it is quality education in action.” Through collaboration, creativity, and teamwork, recycled materials were transformed into innovative sets and costumes, promoting responsible consumption, sustainability, and real-world learning.

Our Media students played a vital role by brainstorming ideas, writing scripts, designing storyboards, filming, conducting interviews, and editing the final documentary with professional equipment and teacher guidance.

This award celebrates the power of partnerships and shows how, by working together, students and educators can create meaningful, lasting impact.
