Busy, busy Thursday, had some interesting chats and laughs with lots of visitors.

1, New in, my little framed initial magnets… so cute!

2, Started the other side of the A-frame for outside but the Uni chalk pen was empty so bought a schneiderpengermany chalk pen. Went to brush off the chalk guidelines and the lettering came away too. Not impressed. They’re more chalky than chalk…

3, Another Thursday, another dosa. Not our usual guy making them and I think it was slightly wrong but they threw some raw onion on and that worked brilliantly.

4, Our second Art Social will be next week on Thursday 11th 😁🥂

5, Stitch n Bitch will be on Saturday 13th. I shall be stitching a book in protest of being surrounded by fabric, and the same day:

6, will start an Alla Prima Oil course

7, Finally, cslawrenceart will be starting a Light & Shade course on Wednesday 17th

More Gallery organising, more people wandering in for a look and a chat, more tailoring for and more summer heat but it’s lovely and cool inside.

1, it’s really funny watching people posing and trying to get the perfect shot. The Maltese Labour Party were holding a rally so we shut up and left early but it wasn’t as busy as we thought it would be. Car parks were as empty as usual for 6pm, maybe everyone went to see Armin van Buuren later…

2, Dosa lunch and a sneaky tin of Prosecco, egg dosa - what a revelation! Nowhere near as stuffed as normal! 🥂

3, Hev painting the boards in anticipation of…

4, New signage! Still need to add our insta name at the bottom of the board. And do the other side. And do the two boards just inside the gates 😁

Late with my Thursday update type thing… in amongst people dropping in, a huge bee visited. Switched all the lights off and after a general nosy around it flew straight out the door. On my lonesome for lunch so tried out the veggie hotdog… poster versus reality… fries were the best bit! Found time for a little bit of lettering that insults both wannabe influencers and politicians and it was Caroline’s last lesson for a little while but she’ll be back. So impressed with her students’ work!

Thursdays are getting busy! Made a sign, admired my spiky logo for Hev on her new clothes labels, had a walk in request for an anniversary card, sorted out prices and decided on salad/falafel lunch instead of a dosa. Art Social next Thursday!

Another fun Thursday! More gallery set-up, scored a second hand adjustable stool that is perfect for working on the lightbox, devoured an enormous tuna salad for lunch, a little bit of tour guiding with a lot of Aperol Spritz and then back to The Gallery to admire the fabulous work of Caroline’s students.

Great Thursday yesterday! The Gallery is taking shape, Caroline’s Picasso people are next to the real (melted) Picasso and the fabric stash is patiently waiting for Heather to finish wedding dresses. We didn’t take part in Caroline’s first class but wish we had!
