San Andrea School Providing excellent educational opportunities for students from Pre-Nursery to Senior School

To the persons who do not work or experience life in an educational sector, school life may appear repetitive and tedious, yet this is far from the reality. Teachers have to re-create themselves each scholastic year so as to create an environment that is motivating and challenging for our students. It is hardly an easy feat when one considers the extent to which children are stimulated by technology today. Through the various hands-on experiences – whether in class, in the valley, on outings, through the school’s sports programme, talks and projects – we aim at reaching the needs of each individual child in the school. We continue to strive to uphold our vision, that of providing our students with a holistic education within a multicultural community and with lifelong learning skills, to face the challenges as responsible citizens, through learning environments that enable them to realize their potential. San Andrea School continues to provide a happy, systematic and creative learning environment in which our students feel safe and cared for thus ensuring that each child willingly and happily engages in learning. This is only possible thanks to the dedication of each member of staff at the school chief of who are the teachers. Their dedication and professional approach to teaching and learning is evident in their creative teaching methodologies and the variety of activities held year in year out. Parents, in their various roles – as Governors, members of Committees, and parents in general – continue to support us all in this mission. Together, as San Andrea community, we shall continue to succeed in providing a high level of education that befits the school’s reputation. Our children are the nation’s future leaders and we, as educationalists and parents, are obliged to meet their needs, present and future, as our contribution to shaping our country’s future. This is the only Official San Andrea page run by the school. We are not responsible for any other pages running on Facebook under our name.

More than a competition - our Houses are a community!

At San Andrea School, our Senior Sector House System is all about bringing students together, building character and creating a strong sense of belonging.

Being part of a House gives every student the opportunity to:

🏠 Find their place - a smaller community within the wider school, where friendships grow across different year groups.

πŸ† Get involved and shine - whether through academics, sport, the arts or service, every talent and contribution matters.

🌱 Grow together - developing leadership, teamwork, confidence and the skills to become positive role models.

πŸ’‘ Celebrate every achievement - recognising not only the big wins, but also the effort, commitment and team spirit behind them.

A heartfelt thank you to all our educators, organisers, House Masters and, of course, our students, whose enthusiasm, energy and dedication made this year’s Colour Blob such an exciting event! πŸ’™πŸ’š

πŸ‘ And a special congratulations to the House of Auvergne, this year’s winners! πŸ†

πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ A week of speaking Spanish, stepping outside their comfort zones and discovering the language beyond the classroom πŸ’ƒβ˜€οΈ

Living with host families gave our students a genuine taste of everyday life in Spain, while exploring the city, embracing new experiences and communicating in Spanish helped their confidence grow with every day. πŸ—£οΈπŸ

More than simply practising a language, they were truly living it - making new connections, immersing themselves in a different culture and creating memories that will last long after the trip.

A big well done to all participating students & educators πŸ‘πŸ‘

Recently, a number of our Senior Sector students participated in the Democracy Evening as part of the Active & Responsible Citizenship educational campaign.

The 2026 theme is Discrimination where our students presented posters or essays related to the topic. Our school won the trophy for the biggest number of entries and placed in the following categories:

Benjamin Attard – Category 1, Grade 8
Amber Mifsud – Category 1, Grade 8
Daria Abdilla – Category 1, Grade 9
Thea Krohn – Category 1, Grade 9
Ailey Jane Brincat – Category 2, Grade 10
Elaine Cassar – Category 2, Grade 10

These successes were acknowledged and celebrated during a special assembly. A big thank you goes to our English Department teachers, who encouraged the students to take part and guided them throughout the activity.

What happens when World Educators’ Day and World Animal Day happen in the same week? πŸŒŽπŸΆπŸ“šπŸ€”

A magical combination like no other! ✨

Today, we celebrate our amazing educators and thank them for their dedication, passion and for shaping the future every single day. πŸ™Œ

And because there’s no better way to show the people behind the teachers, say hi πŸ‘‹ to some of our educators and their beloved furry friends! πŸΎπŸ’•πŸΆπŸ±

Happy Educators’ Day! πŸ’™πŸ’š

One of the most special moments of the start of a new school year is seeing our Grade 1 students begin their journey hand in hand with our Grade 12 students πŸ₯Ή

The youngest members of our school community are welcomed and accompanied by those who have travelled the longest - a beautiful reminder that school is not just about learning, but also about belonging and connection.

As our Grade 12s guide them into their very first classroom experience, we hope they inspire our youngest students to dream big, discover, grow and enjoy every step of the journey ahead.

Wishing all our Grade 1 students a wonderful year filled with learning, discovery, friendship and many happy memories πŸ’™πŸ’š
