🔎Not sure what we currently wish to investigate....BUT these were ALL somehow interesting!!!!

Let us see what else unfolds in the meantime 🔍

Learning invitations do not need complex presentations.... You just need good observation skills to pick up their 100 languages and it would be more than enough! Promise 💞

📕A classical story...."Ix-xemx u r-riħ "

We predicted the ending of our story before we actually heard the end. Predictions give students time to think and come up with their own assumptions and hypothesis. It creates opportunities for young learners to think big ideas.

The story was simple... the 🌞 sun and 🌬wind made a bet that they could be the ones who manage to convince the man take off his 🧥 coat!

The results surprised a few and left room for thought to continue to grow.

Stories are wonderful when you get the children involved!

Hear me out.... need more local books.... I am a sucker for stories BUT my Maltese books are always running short compared with my English stories.

Yes I know I can find online or produce AI generated ones BUT I am a sucker for a physical copy!
Let us see which Maltese books you are truly fond of reading to your class. Can you maybe help out with naming a maximum of 3 books? This will help me narrow down my list while of course increase my library with more Maltese context♡

💚Mental Health Awareness Activity 💚

As part of our healthy well-being, breathing is essential. Hence during this activity we focused on improving our breathing through different strategies.

We started with some stretching and our usual whale breathing exercises. Later we introduced the pebble exercise.

🪨Pebble breathing:

We placed a pebble on our tummy while laying on our backs with our eyes closed. We started breathing and feeling the weight of the pebble as we breathe. Later we touched the pebble to feel our breathing get deeper. Next we placed the pebble infront of us for the next breathing strategy.

🫧Bubbles:

We took out our small bubbles and tried to blow bubbles calmly towards our pebble. When finished we could feel the pebble wet, giving us a fun sensory experience.

🪅Pinwheel:

Concluding we blew harder towards a pinwheel to see it spin around while loving the shiny materials shimmer as it whirls.

Our breathing exercises were calm and fun but also a reminder to learn about taking care of our mental health as much as our physical health too.

💚Be kind to yourselves 💚

Thank you Ms.Mary and Ms.Yasmin for being our paparazzi 📷

Someone asked me how I am doing with my masters..... well this is how you would find me in almost every lecture!!!!

Juggling between me trying to stay focused and balancing puppy playfulness at the same time. This is what the lecturers do not see when I am away from the camera!

Love her to bits still haha

🔥Lately we are discussing the heat of the sun, so we explored some sunny hot spots!

Our mission was simple: "Avoid stepping on the hot spots (paint) or you would be burnt (symbolic play) ".

The learning experiences however concluded in:

🎉Fun learning experiences
✨️Turn taking skills
🏃‍♂️Balance and focus
🧑‍🩰Gross motor skills control
🦶Sensory explorations
🧦 Removing & wearing socks & shoes
🥼Role-playing
➡️Number sequencing
