Today, I close a very special chapter of my journey as I say goodbye to Żejtun Primary B. ❤️

This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Leaving is not easy, and if I'm honest, it is much harder than I ever imagined. Żejtun Primary B has been so much more than a workplace—it has been a second home, a family, and a community that has become a part of who I am.

Over the years, I have learned so much, grown in ways I never expected, and created memories that I will cherish forever. The laughter in the corridors, the daily conversations, the challenges we faced together, and the countless special moments have all shaped my journey.

But the hardest goodbye is to the children. ❤️ To all the students who filled my days with smiles, laughter, questions, stories, and endless joy—thank you. You have taught me as much as I hope I have taught you. Each one of you holds a special place in my heart, and leaving you behind is incredibly difficult.

To the staff, parents, and the entire Żejtun Primary B community, thank you for welcoming me, supporting me, and making me feel like I truly belonged. The friendships, kindness, and memories we have shared will stay with me wherever I go.

As I move on to a new role, I do so with excitement for what lies ahead, but also with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. A part of me will always remain at Żejtun Primary B. This is not just a goodbye to a school—it is a goodbye to a chapter of my life that I will never forget.

Thank you for the memories, the lessons, the laughter, and the love. I will miss you all more than words can say. ❤️

Illum wasalna fil-qofol tal-proġett 'The Domino Effect', imwettaq mill-kumitat tal-EkoSkola u ffinanzjat minn Lidl Malta permezz tal-iskema ‘Action for Climate Change – Food Sustainability’🌱

Wara dan il-proġett kien hemm xhur ta' preparamenti fejn il-kumitat tal-EkoSkola flimkien mal-membri qattgħu l-brejks tagħhom joħolqu 3 logħbiet uniċi – kollha magħmulin bl-użu ta' materjali riċiklabbli sabiex noħolqu kuxjenxa dwar l-iskart li qed noħolqu u kif nistgħu nnaqsuh billi nerġgħu nagħmlu użu minnu♻️

Illum kellna l-pjaċir nippreżentaw dawn il-logħbiet lir-residenti tad-Dar tal-Anzjani taż-Żejtun 🏠❤️ – mument speċjali li fih l-istudenti u l-anzjani ingħaqdu flimkien permezz tal-logħob u l-ferħ.

Grazzi kbira lil Lidl Malta għall-appoġġ u l-fiduċja f'din l-inizjattiva u lill-Kunsill Lokali Żejtun li għen fl-organizzazzjoni tal-attività tal-lum. 🙏

Today we reached the conclusion of the project “The Domino Effect”, carried out by the EkoSkola committee and funded by Lidl Malta through the “Action for Climate Change – Food Sustainability” scheme 🌱

Behind this project were months of preparation, during which the EkoSkola committee together with its members spent their breaks creating 3 unique games – all made using recyclable materials to raise awareness about the waste we are producing and how we can reduce it by repurposing it ♻️

Today we had the pleasure of presenting these games to the residents of the Żejtun Retirement Home 🏠❤️ – a special moment where students and the elderly came together through play and joy.

A big thank you to Lidl Malta for their support and trust in this initiative, and to the Żejtun Local Council for helping organise today’s activity 🙏

And a special thanks to all the EkoSkola members whose passion and commitment made all this possible! 💚

🌍🐝 Our EkoSkola Committee kicked off Global Action Days with a special Earth Day assembly on April 22nd!

Over the past two weeks, a variety of engaging activities gave students and members of our community the chance to explore important environmental themes. A special focus was placed on the Maltese Honeybee 🐝—highlighting its vital role in our ecosystem and the importance of protecting it.

Participants also learned about the benefits of buying local and seasonal produce, explored both new and traditional recipes, and discovered more about the journey our food takes from farm to table—and its impact on the environment. 🍅🥕

To top it all off, students gained valuable insight into understanding the nutritional value of the food we eat.

It’s been an inspiring and enriching learning journey for all involved! 💚🌱

🌿💚 | Nature Trust – FEE Malta | Lidl Malta 💚🌿

During the past months, our EkoSkola committee and members have been working on a very exciting project! Thanks to the funds obtained through the Action for Climate Change Project: Food Sustainability 2025/2026, our school has been busy creating educational and recreational games for different members of our local community.

What makes this initiative truly special is that all games are being created using recycled materials. Through this project, we are:
♻️ Promoting environmental sustainability
😊 Supporting wellbeing and community engagement
🎲 Enhancing learning through play

We are proud of the creativity and dedication shown by our students, and we look forward to sharing these eco-friendly games with our community!
