Our Story
UPPScience built on the Community of Practice that was started up in its predecessor VISConti project. It is a CoP for teachers, professionals and students in VET and in undergraduate HE.
UPPScience helps remove the perception that research is exclusively for the academic professions and researchers. It helps players in education and industry overcome their inhibitions and to engage in research and publishing, through small but high quality initiatives in this area, within a safe but rigorous environment. Members of the CoP share and publish research projects and publications after peer review by at least two other members of the CoP. This is all supported by a web-based virtual work space, enabling the building and functioning of an active community without borders.

The original partnership was made up of 22 organisations including Universities, VET schools, High Schools, Civil Society Organisations, NGOs working in the field of education and a private company. The partnership came from 9 countries with the widest possible EU wide spread, and 1 partner from the Palestinian Authority.
