NSS Year 11 female Football student, 15 year old Amy Catania, marked an unforgettable milestone as she made her senior National Team debut for Malta in the 0-3 World Cup qualifier against Turkey. What a proud moment! We are sure Amy will go through more succesful moments in her career.

Congratulates to our NSS Year 11 student-athletes Liam Daly, Year 10 Katie Vella Wood and Year 8 Mickaya Fave on their exceptional performances at the Yasmine-Hammamet African Cup in Tunisia.
Liam achieved an impressive 3rd-place podium finish in the Junior Cup Sprint Triathlon and also claimed 1st Overall and 1st Under-17 in the Youth Age Group Race.
Katie delivered a fantastic performance to secure 1st Overall and 1st Under-15 in the Youth Age Group Race.
Mickaya Fava earned an excellent 2nd Overall finish and 1st Under-13 in the Youth Age Group Race.

Congratulations to NSS Year 9 Artistic Gymnasts students Julia and Janet Galea after winning in the Elite Junior Category All-Round 3rd place securing a four Bronze apparatus medals in The International Gymnastics Competition held in Romania recently. NSS Year 8 students Chloe Micallef and Unique Fava also competed in this event with solid performances.
The experience extended far beyond the competition. Our athletes had the incredible opportunity to train at the Romanian National Olympic Training Centre alongside members of the Romanian National Team. A truly unforgettable highlight was meeting gymnastics legend Nadia Comăneci, who highly praised the level of gymnastics demonstrated by our students.

NSS Year 9 student Stella Skodacek won the Bergantov Memorial, Tennis Europe, U14, Category 2 in Maribor Slovenia and was also runner-up in Doubles. Stella from seeded no. 14 defeated seeded no. 1 Aleka Kukrik from Serbia in the final to claim her first Tennis Europe title in singles.

The National Sport School, Malta would like to congratulate all the Athletics students for their performances during last weekend’s National Championships. Together they managed to cap 35 medals; 13 gold, 16 silver and 6 bronze. Well done to all of you. NSS is proud of you all!

A very informative session about Photo Journalism thanks to Timmy Cutugno with our Year 10 students. Timmy discussed topics such;
a) What intellectual property means in sports media.
b) Why photographers own the rights to their images.
c) How to respectfully approach photographers.
d) The difference between fair use and purchasing images.
e)How proper credit and collaboration benefits both athletes and media professionals.
