🎉 BIG NEWS FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR! 🎉
Our team has been hard at work all summer getting ready to welcome our students back, and we couldn't be more excited to share what we’ve been working on!
Starting this scholastic year, we are officially launching our brand-new Music Therapy Service! 🥁🎸🎹
We’ve been busy unboxing and tuning up a whole collection of new musical instruments. We can't wait to see the incredible impact music will make on our students' creativity, self-expression, and personal growth.
Music therapy opens up so many powerful new ways for our students to connect, learn, and thrive, and we can’t wait to get started! 🎶✨

Recently, the Professional Advisory & Prevention Team (PAPT) delivered a session on Relationships and S*x Education (RSE) during a COPE session at Helen Keller School, focusing on supporting educators working with students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).

The training provided participants with a structured approach to strengthening relationships and delivering s*x education through environmental-based concept learning. Educators were guided on how to introduce and navigate sensitive topics in a developmentally-appropriate and respectful manner, while exploring key themes that support the wellbeing, safety, and personal development of the individuals they work with.

The session also created space for open discussion around topics that are often considered difficult or uncomfortable, helping participants build confidence and competence in initiating and sustaining these important conversations.

At PAPT, we believe that everyone has the right to access information and support that promotes healthy relationships, personal boundaries, and informed decision-making.

Interested in this impactful training session for your staff, organisation, or educational institutions? Get in touch with us for enquiries, training bookings, or referrals, by sending an email on [email protected].

Today marked our final day at school, and we wrapped up the year on a wonderful note. We started the morning with team-building activities that brought plenty of laughter, collaboration, and reflection on everything we have achieved together.
The day was followed by refreshments provided by the Senior Leadership Team as a small token of appreciation and gratitude for everyone's hard work, commitment, and dedication throughout the year.
Thank you to every member of staff for making this year such a success. Wishing everyone a well-deserved, restful, and enjoyable summer break!

Today, our educators participated in class and team meetings to continue developing the implementation of the Equals Curriculum while planning and coordinating the school's upcoming activities. These collaborative sessions provided an opportunity to review progress, share ideas, and ensure a consistent approach to meeting the needs of our learners while preparing for the events and initiatives planned for the coming months.
