Launch successful 🚀
After all the design, testing, and iterations, our CanSat reached 750m altitude, deployed as expected, and successfully transmitted data back to the ground station. Everything worked together in real conditions — exactly what we’ve been working towards.
A huge milestone for the team, and definitely a relieving moment seeing it all come together.
Next step: analysing and presenting the data this Wednesday.

Pre-Launch Presentation complete 🚀
Today we presented our CanSat project, covering the system design, development process, and testing results leading up to launch. It was a great opportunity to showcase the work behind CanAir and get valuable feedback ahead of the final stage.
Next step: launch. 🛰️

Test launch at Villa Bighi 🛰️🚀
Parachute deployment, aerial lift, and live communication — all tested in real conditions. The CanSat was dropped from height to check descent performance, and lifted by drone to confirm data transmission with the ground station.
A solid step forward as we move closer to the final launch.

Testing how our ground station talks to the CanSat 🛰️
We experimented with command sending, task ex*****on, and checked how reliably the system responds in real time.
Another step forward for CanAir representing MCAST as we keep refining our setup.

First CanSat training session done 🚀
Today at Esplora Malta, CanAir kicked things off by exploring the components we’ll be using, sketching early design ideas, and breaking down how our satellite will work as a complete system. Solid start, clear direction, and plenty more to come.
