The Pre-Option Music Programme (POMP) is a two-year course offered to students in Years 7 and 8. It is designed to prepare learners who may later choose Music as an option subject in secondary school. The programme combines piano instruction with the study of music theory, listening skills, and musical creativity. It aims to develop students’ musical knowledge, performance skills, and appreciation of music, providing a strong foundation for further musical education.
4 students at our school took part in this programme, and they played for us at the end of the year. Here are two of their performances. A round of applause, please!

The Dinja Waħda Club 🌍 was successfully held for the third consecutive year.
Despite not having access to the greenhouse, a small greenhouse was set up, allowing students to grow carob trees and native Maltese plants, including Jerusalem sage.
This year, two bird feeders were also installed.
Well done and thank you to all the students who participated for their hard work and dedication throughout the year 👏.
Special congratulations go to Chaylee, Dean and Isaiah, who were awarded a book 📚 and a voucher to the Esplora Science Centre 🔬 in recognition of their commitment and dedication.

Yesterday’s assembly had a splash of international colour as Mr Borg presented awards to the winners of our World Flags competition, which had been running over the past few weeks. After some close competition, Bianca Lagrata of 8.2 proudly took third place, while Kaiden Tabone Delmar of 8.1 secured second place (though he was unfortunately absent to receive his award). Taking the top spot was Isaac Mangion of 8.1, who came in first with an impressive performance.
Congratulations to all our winners, and well done to everyone who took part!
