At JJ’s Childcare Centre, we believe that children benefit most from an Early Years education in which parents/legal guardians and the setting work in partnership. We acknowledge the integral role that parents/ legal guardians play as their child’s first educators. We engage them in discussion ​about their children’s developmental progress, listening and responding to their views to ensure that two-way communication and sharing of information takes place.

👵👴As we celebrated Grandparents’ Day this week , the children have been enjoying some lovely activities all about grandparents and other relatives and the special memories we share with them. 🥰

💌 The children prepared special cards for their grandparents, filled with lots of love.
🌼 We picked beautiful flowers from the grandparents’ garden.
🍪 And, of course, we had lots of fun decorating biscuits just like Grandma! 👩‍🍳❤️

It has been a wonderful opportunity for the children to talk about their loved ones, share stories, get creative and appreciate all the love and special moments they bring into our lives. 💐

💛 Happy Grandparents’ Day! 💛

Today was a very special day at childcare as we celebrated Grandparents’ Day with our little ones and their wonderful grandparents, family members and loved ones who came along to share this special occasion with us. 👵👴👨‍👩‍👧❤️

We enjoyed celebrating our Maltese traditions together, with the children getting involved in some traditional cooking activities, making ‘pasta r-roża’ and ‘ħobż biż-żejt’🍰 🥖🫒

We also had lots of fun playing ‘Passju’, a traditional Maltese game, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and happy memories. 🇲🇹🎲

It was truly heartwarming to see the little ones enjoying these special moments together with the important people in their lives, while sharing and keeping our beautiful traditions alive. ❤️

A big thank you to all the grandparents, relatives and loved ones who joined us and helped make today so memorable! 🥰

Our little ones had lots of fun learning how to stay safe in the sunshine! 🌞

Through a fun hands-on activity, the children practised applying sunscreen, wearing their hats and sunglasses and talked about why protecting our skin from the sun is so important. 💛

We love turning important healthy habits into fun learning experiences! 🌈✨
