Our story
The Central Public Library hosts six libraries: the Adult and Junior Libraries, the Melitensia Library, the Reference Library, the Audio-Visual Library and the Special Needs Library. It also hosts the Malta Libraries administration office representing all the other Branch and Regional Libraries. The National Bibliographic Office is also situated in the same building. On the ground floor of the Central Public Library, the staff also runs a Second Hand Bookshop - proceeds from which go towards the purchasing of new books for the lending libraries of Malta and Gozo.
