Nifirħu lil Shelleyzia Grech tal-Klassi 6.1 li rebħet il-kompetizzjoni tal-isbaħ tpinġija għall-faċċata ta' barra tal-edizzjoni l-ġdida ta' TOKKA L-KOKKA - l-annwal tal-iskola primarja tagħna. It-tfal stess ivvutaw għat-tpinġija favorita tagħhom. Shelleyzia ingħata ktieb sabiħ bħala premju filwaqt li l-parteċipanti kollha ingħataw rigal żgħir li jfakkarhom f'dan l-għasfur "għaref". Infakkrukom li bħalissa qed jinġabru l-abbonamenti ta' dan il-magazin sabiħ b'aktar minn 90 paġna bil-kulur. Il-Kunsill tal-Istudenti ħa l-inizjattiva li jippromwovi din il-pubblikazzjoni tagħna mat-tfal billi jfisser lit-tfal li l-prezzta' kopja ta' TOKKA L-KOKKA huwa inqas minn dak ta' pizza jew burger bic-chips li min jaf kemm-il darba kilna mal-ġenituri tagħna, iżda TOKKA -KOKKA għandha l-valur iżjed għax tista' tibqa' magħna sa ma nikbru bħala tifkira tal-esperjenza tagħna fl-iskola primarja.

Bi pjaċir inħabbru li tlesta l-proġett ta' klassi fil-beraħ - OPEN SKY CLASSROOM - li sar permezz tal-fondi tal-OPEN HORIZONS: Education through Indoor and Outdoor Learning Scheme, li jagħmel parti mill-EDU Infrastructure Programme li jżomm mal-Miżura 1.14 tal-Istrateġija Nazzjonali tal-Edukazzjoni. Dħalna għal dan il-proġett għax jaqbel ħafna mal-ħidma li qed inwettqu fl-iskola tagħna sabiex l-programm edukattiv tagħna jkun inklussiv u miftuħ għal kull forma ta' tagħlim li jseħħ kemm ġewwa l-klassi kif ukoll lil hinn minnha. It-tfal se jkollhom iktar spazju fejn jiżviluppaw il-ħiliet kreattivi tagħhom, jesperimentaw u jiskopru affarijiet ġodda, u jieħdu gost jagħmlu dan. B'hekk it-tagħlim ma jibqax limitat biss għas-suġġetti akkademiċi iżda jinfirex ukoll fuq kull aspett tal-ħajja.

The children of 1.4 in Ms Isabelle's class, explored the fascinating topic 'Tiny to Big- How Living Things Grow ', where they learnt about Lifecycles. Throughout this topic the children discovered the lifecycle of a chicken, a turtle, a frog, a snail, a ladybug, a bee, a butterfly, a sunflower, a bean, a turnip and a pumpkin.
Learning took place through a variety of hands-on activities that also incorporated literacy and numeracy skills, storytelling, crafts and experiments. The class especially enjoyed exploring the story of The Hungry Caterpillar, taking part in many engaging activities linked to the story.
One of the children’s favourite experiences was the butterfly themed tuff tray. However, the most exciting moments were the visits to the school garden, and the opportunity to sow different seeds, including sunflowers, allowing the children to observe growth firsthand.
