Technical Diving Training

As I stated on the picture: there are still valid reasons to dive open circuit trimix or at least take the Trimix course
1. Sure the cost of helium is high, but up to normoxic level it is not outrageous especially if you have a low breathing rate like Veli
2. If you don't have a chance to do many trimix dives a year, you can fill many cylinders at the cost of a rebreather.
3. You will be more confident CCR diver if you have been in that depth on OC. Bailout scenario is not that stressful.

Yes, if you dive regularly deep, change to CCR. But enjoy Open circuit when it makes sense.

Started to clock up hours on my Symbios CCR to become instructor. 4️⃣ hours done today 😁
Unit works perfectly and managed to find some cool marine life.


Which one is your favourite?

First dive done on the new Halcyon Symbios CCR.
First thoughts:
1. Definitely no regret buying it! 😍
2. Very easy to get buoyancy right
3. It is a good idea to get used to the computers before using the rebreather if you have a chance
4. Awesome breathing in all positions
5. Expected to be more bulky on the front but not in the way at all
6. Easy to handle
