🎀💗 Little Hands, Big Hearts! 💗🎀

Today, we celebrate the end of our Pink October journey with hearts full of gratitude! Throughout these weeks, our children enjoyed a variety of activities, including cooking, decorating cookies and cupcakes, preparing pink pasta salad, sensory play, creative crafts, and fun games. Through these experiences, they developed their creativity, fine motor skills, and, most importantly, learned about kindness, caring, and helping others. 🌸

A heartfelt thank you to all our families and staff for your generous donations and support towards Puttinu Cares. Every contribution, big or small, has helped us support this meaningful cause. 💕

✨ Pink October may be over, but kindness never ends. Together, we are teaching our little ones that even the smallest hands can make a big difference when guided by love and compassion.

💛 Would your organisation like to make a difference in a child’s learning journey?

Following the wonderful educational visits we organised this year, Happy Trails Childcare Centre is once again inviting local organisations, businesses, professionals and community services to visit our centre and introduce our little learners, aged 3 months to 3 years, to the amazing work they do! 🥰✨

🚒 Firefighters & Emergency Services – Introducing fire safety and the people who keep us safe.

🚓 Police Officers & Community Officers – Helping children recognise and become familiar with our community helpers.

🚑 Paramedics, Nurses & Healthcare Professionals – Introducing healthcare, kindness and caring for others.

🐾 Veterinarians & Animal Welfare Organisations – Teaching children about animals and how we care for them.

📮 Postal Workers & Delivery Services – Exploring how letters and parcels reach our homes.

👷‍♂️ Builders, Tradespeople & Skilled Professionals – Discovering different tools, equipment and professions.

🌱 Environmental Organisations, Farmers & Gardeners – Encouraging children to appreciate nature, plants and our environment.

🎶 Musicians, Artists & Cultural Organisations – Sharing music, creativity and Maltese traditions.

✨ And many more! We welcome any organisation or professional who can offer a meaningful, interactive and age-appropriate educational experience.

Our aim is to give children the opportunity to meet real-life community helpers, discover different professions, explore new experiences and learn about the world around them through hands-on learning. 💕🌍

🌸 Pink October – Learning Through Play 💗🎀

This week, all our groups continued celebrating Pink October through a variety of fun and meaningful activities. Using pink rice, different textures, colourful materials, and creative resources, our little ones explored their senses, developed their fine motor skills, practised hand-eye coordination, and expressed their creativity.

These activities also provided an opportunity to introduce the values of kindness, caring, and solidarity in an age-appropriate way. Through play, children began to discover the importance of helping others and being part of a community that cares. 💕 Every little activity reminds us that even the smallest hands can make a big difference!

Today, our little chefs took part in preparing delicious brownies! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 They enjoyed adding sugar and colourful sprinkles, exploring ingredients and participating in this fun cooking experience.

🎶🍼 Saturday: Making Musical Shakers! 🌈

Today, our little ones had fun creating their own musical shaker bottles! 🎵 Using different materials, they explored sounds, rhythm and movement while discovering how shaking their bottles could produce different musical effects.

💛 Through music and play, even the simplest materials can become wonderful tools for learning, exploring and discovering the world around us! 🎶🌟

Today, our little chefs enjoyed a sweet and creative activity as part of our Pink October celebrations! 🩷 They had fun decorating delicious cupcakes with chocolate and colourful sprinkles, exploring different textures, colours, and flavours while expressing their creativity.

Activities like these encourage children's fine motor skills, creativity, independence, and social interaction, while creating wonderful opportunities to learn through play. 👩‍🍳✨

Every little cupcake is made with love, and every small action can make a big difference! 💕🎀

💗 Pink Pasta Salad 🥗

Today, our little chefs enjoyed a fun cooking activity as part of our Pink October celebrations! 🎀👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The children prepared a delicious pink pasta salad, adding fresh cucumber, cheese, a little olive oil, and oregano. They had the opportunity to explore different ingredients, flavours, textures, and colours while developing their independence and practical skills.

Cooking together is a wonderful way for children to learn through hands-on experiences, make healthy choices, and enjoy the joy of creating something together. 💕✨
