🌍📐 Inspiring the Next Generation!

Today marked a proud milestone for CM Academy as we introduced Land Surveying to young minds for the very first time at a secondary school (ages 13–14).

As part of a Geography lesson, we combined theory with hands-on experience, showing students how geography and land surveying work together to turn the real world into the maps we use every day.

🗺️ We explored:
• The history of land surveying
• How surveyors measure and map land
• The importance of accuracy, coordinates, and scale

📡 And the highlight of the day?
Students had the opportunity to use a Total Station to survey their own classroom and carry out a simple setting out exercise!

Seeing their excitement as they worked with real surveying equipment was truly inspiring. For many, this was their first time experiencing how technology, mathematics, and geography connect in the real world.

At CM Academy, we are passionate about creating awareness of the importance of land surveying and opening doors to career pathways that many students may not yet know exist.
