This week, ITS Principal Chef Lecturer Joseph Cassar is at the ITS Satellite Campus at Malta International School (MIS), located within our partner institution, Shanghai Commercial and Industrial Polytechnic (SICP), delivering a masterclass and collaborating with renowned Chinese Master Chef Jonny Gu for a special dinner reception.

The event brings together key stakeholders and partners, including Consul General Ms Lisa Azzopardi, representatives from the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA), and our local partner institutions SICP, SIT and ZTC.

This collaboration highlights the strong international partnerships that continue to enrich the ITS educational experience and strengthen cultural and culinary exchange between Malta and China.

Institute of Tourism Studies Since 1987, we have consistently trained and graduated individuals who have gone on to become entrepreneurs, managers and experts in their chosen fields.

Yesterday, our team came together for a one-day seminar on ‘Building Quality: From Compliance to Culture', with a particular emphasis that quality is shared and thus, sailing together!
It was an insightful journey of honest conversations, shared ownership, and commitment to quality.

It wasn't just the academics or the managers in the room. It was everyone from the CEO to administrative staff, from People and Culture to wellbeing, from programme coordinators to the registrar; all owning quality together and not in silos but working through what quality assurance means for every one of us.

The energy in the room was fantastic. The conversations were challenging. The outcomes were concrete.

At ITS, quality transcends individual and departmental job descriptions. We embody it together like it's our culture.
