This week at the centre we are exploring snails in every way possible 🐌💚
Through sensory play, observation, outdoor discovery and hands-on activities, the children are learning all about snails. Where they live, how they move and what makes them so special.
The children showed great curiosity as they searched for snails, carefully observed their shells and enjoyed discussing what they noticed.
Learning through play makes every discovery even more exciting! ✨
🐞🐝 Exploring the World of Insects! 🐛🦋
At the centre we have been doing the theme of insects. We learned about their colour, size and where they live. Yesterday we went to Ġnien San Klement to continue exploring this theme and discover more about insects in their natural habitats. The children were very excited to observe and explore outdoors, making real-life connections with what they have been learning.
Through this theme, the children developed their curiosity about nature, learned new vocabulary like butterfly, ladybird and caterpillar. They also strengthened their fine motor skills while picking, sticking and creating their own insect art. They also practised sharing, turn-taking and expressing their ideas with their friends.
It was lovely to see how excited they were to discover that even the smallest creatures have a big role in our world! 🌿✨
