"You are in the very best hands"

Words from Maestro Sylvia Pagni about Ms Gillian Attard.

"For twelve years I ran the international competition founded by Teddy Reno and Rita Pavone. And I was always frustrated, because the school is the thing that matters. When parents bring their children to a teacher, they need to know that this teacher becomes a second mother, and gives them a future.

In my whole life I have never met a teacher like her. I honestly didn't know who her students were. I found out this evening. But when I listened, really listened, to that command of the voice as an instrument, and to the interpretation.

Today people think whoever sings the highest note is the best. It isn't so. The great Gorni Kramer, who used to come to my house because my father was a great musician, always said you mustn't just fire off those notes. Notes should fall like a string of pearls, one by one, and move you.

I was moved for the first time in years, after travelling the world and listening to so many people. For her.

So to the parents who place their children in her hands, know that they are in the very best hands. And I mean it. I'll put it in writing. Sylvia Pagni. You can hold me to it tomorrow. I'm certain of what I've said, because I speak with a full heart.

She is extraordinarily accomplished. A great, great teacher. It's the truth. And beyond that, knowing you is an honour. A great honour for me. I wanted to say it, because parents deserve to know."

La Voix Studios proudly welcomes Ms Maria Curmi as our new Vocal Coach, coaching directly from the island of Gozo.

Maria is a young Gozitan singer who has been developing her craft for over seven years through vocal training, piano studies and performance. Her journey began at just nine years old, when she first represented Malta internationally in Macedonia, and has since taken her to stages both locally and abroad.

More recently, Maria has furthered her musical education in the UK through studies in performance, music production and songwriting at ACM and ICMP.

At La Voix Studios, we strongly believe in investing in the younger generation - especially those who show dedication, discipline and an impeccable work ethic towards their craft.

Our mantra is simple: Dream. Execute. Achieve. Dreaming without executing is just dreaming.

Her achievements include winning Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza Junior, becoming a three-time Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest finalist, representing Malta at Sanremo Junior 2024 at the prestigious Ariston Theatre, appearing on The Voice Kids Malta, and performing regularly at Kantamagħna alongside the DCapitals Big Band.

A new chapter begins for La Voix Studios singer Mia Lanzon as she proudly releases her debut original single, “Forevermore” - marking an important milestone in her journey from young performer to emerging singer-songwriter.

Mia is already no stranger to the stage. Over the years, she has continued to develop her craft through performances and competitions, including an impressive journey on The Voice Kids Malta, where she reached the final in 2025. Now, with Forevermore, audiences are being introduced to another side of Mia: the artist behind the music.

Forevermore explores the strength of the bond shared between people who truly care for one another. At its heart lies a simple but powerful message: even when life becomes difficult, the people we love are worth holding on to.

While the song can speak to romantic love, its message reaches much further — reflecting the enduring love found between family members, friends and anyone whose presence becomes an important part of our lives.

What makes this debut particularly special is Mia's involvement in creating her own music. “Forevermore” was written by Mia Lanzon together with La Voix Studios founder Gillian Attard, with production by Cyprian Cassar Somnio.

For a young artist, releasing an original song is about far more than stepping behind a microphone. It is about discovering your own sound, finding the confidence to express your ideas and allowing listeners to experience something that began with you.

At La Voix Studios, we have always believed that developing an artist goes beyond vocal technique. It is about encouraging individuality, creativity, musicianship and, ultimately, giving young singers the tools and confidence to discover who they are as artists.

Mia's debut represents exactly that progression.

Through Forevermore, she takes an exciting first step into the recording industry with a song that reflects her personality and musical direction while establishing herself as a young singer who is ready to create, write and tell stories through her own music.

Influenced by artists including Adele and Beyoncé, alongside a new generation of performers such as Sienna Spiro, Mulaa Joans and Freya Skye, Mia is continuing to develop an identity of her own while drawing inspiration from artists known for connecting deeply with the music they perform.

Every artist remembers their first original release.

For Mia, Forevermore is not simply another performance or another song - it represents the beginning of a catalogue that she can truly call her own.

We are incredibly proud to see another La Voix Studios artist taking this important step, transforming years of training, performing and growing into original music.
