I loved this post on Instagram from kweli TV They often get it spot on for me. This is a good description of a boss but also of a work colleague, friend, teacher, coach, neighbour, nurse, pastor, shopkeeper and so many more. A blessing can be very simple - I have a wonderful neighbour and her husband. They often call out to me as I walk past and have a bag of fruit- starfruit recently. Or avocados or mangoes and that is a blessing they share. And of course the joy, for both of us, of calling out "bonjour" and sometimes a little chat as I pass their house. Blessings can come in many forms. It is how we give them, take them, share them and enjoy them that counts. I have another friend in the local market. I always shop at her stall and she always gives some extra - tomatoes for my salad or something and I never say no. Because she is offering me a thank you for my business, a blessing, love and acceptance.
What blessings do you share with others? What blessings have others shared with you?

Why not dance - it is Friday.
This vibrant band were a great attraction at a boat race here in Saint-Pierre, Martinique several Sundays ago. Coffee, croissant, a band and a boat race. A perfect start to the day.
(The video wouldn't upload-but I am still having a perfect day)
Do you have a perfect day?
Do you have an image of what your perfect day would be?

www.positive.news.
You might have heard people say that they do not read the newspapers because it is always bad news. I have a subscription to this magazine and I thoroughly enjoy the variety of articles. All with one slant. They talk about what is working. Where things have gone well. Especially around the environment. The articles are a mixture of lengths and from across the world. So, they are easy to digest and interesting. Reading magazines like this is also a great way to keep developing your English. Learn new vocabulary and the different context they might be used in.
What magazines do you enjoy and why?

A quote attributed to Albert Einstein(March 1879 - April 1955)
"The future is not a gift-it is an achievement."
Do you agree?
Does the future just happen?
Are you writing YOUR future?
The photo is of another rainbow over Saint-Pierre, Martinique.

"There is no such thing as failure. There are only results" Tony Robbins. Treating an outcome as an opportunity to learn somethinng new. Isn't it just a game of wordplay? Does that really work? How do you approach problems or failures?

"Good speech is silver but silence is pure gold" (St.Ephraim of Syria. 306-370. A teacher of repentance) I found this quote in my latest read, The way of a pilgrim translated by Helen Bacovcin. The charming tale of a nineteenth-century Russian peasant's quest across Russia for the secret of prayer. He wanted to know: How does one pray constantly.....?
In teaching silence can be a golden moment. And in day to day life too.
Do you treasure moments of silence?
Are you a silver or golden person?
How do you create those moments in your life?

HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE?
HOW HAVE YOU CHANGED HABITS?
100 days of stopping an old habit and rewiring my brain to behave in a new way. One that is serving me very well. The plan was just to stop. Then I started recording the days - at 70 I thought what about 90 days? Then what about 100? Once I got to 90 days I felt a success. And every morning starts with a tick on the sheet and a feeling of success. And saying it out loud too. It is a great way to energise my day by starting with a success. When I achieve a goal I like to mark it somehow. This bottle of Prosecco, which I may never drink, was my reward at 100 days. It is also a great beacon. It sits on my sideboard and my eyes are drawn to it and I think success. 101 days - maybe 120 days next. It is also important to remember the success and build on it.
HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESSES?
HOW DO YOU CHANGE YOUR HABITS?

“Your only limitation is the one you set up in your own mind!”
― Napoleon Hill, Think and grow rich(1937)
An interesting book and a prerunner to some of the modern money/self-help gurus. I have seen this idea stated in various forms. I think it is an important part of your mindest when startinng a new project, learning a language, building a new relatonship, a new business etc. etc....
Is it true?
I watched this ship sail elegantly and calmly from Sydney Harbour - what a festival of engineering. The Sydney Opera House, The Sydney Bridge and this ship.

It is Friday and my posting day. I enjoy logging out after posting and coming back a day later. I don't feel trapped by social media then. Vibration and energy are very important these days. What can I remove that drains or wastes energy? And what can I replace it with?A manifestation course I am doing suggested preparing for your day by filling out a sheet that breaks down what you will be doing in to 30 minute blocks. There is something about the right time and the right energy. I have always ignored the idea. I tried it on Wednesday and only one task was not complete. I realised that was about timing. The next day I moved it to an earlier slot and completed it. I made a google doc of it and fill out in green the completed task as I go through the day. It really motivates me. And the wall of green feels like a success. The right time for the process. What are your planning/timekeeping/organisation secrets? (don't worry I won't share your secret 🙂 ) These photos are from Hong Kong harbour in 2018.

Just found this old post from Australia. I sort of want to know how this is done. But sometimes it feels great to not know. To just trust in yourself, someone or something else and let it happen.....
Do you prefer to know? Or do you like mystery?
