The US Department of War, alongside FEMA, DFEMS, and CNMI HSEM will have drinking water filling sites on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 0900 – 1800 at the following locations:

Residents in the area are advised to bring their own containers.

Personnel from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Department of War, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), American Red Cross (ARC), U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and other partner agencies continue to carry out community assessments and recovery operations across affected areas in Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

Residents may see assessment teams and contractors working in villages as recovery efforts progress. Community members are encouraged to request official identification if they have any questions or concerns regarding personnel operating in their area.

FEMA Individual Assistance inspectors may arrive at residences in unmarked rental vehicles. Inspectors are in plain clothes, but will carry official identification badges and provide informational handouts during the inspection process. Inspectors will contact homeowners in advance to provide an estimated one- to two-hour arrival window for the scheduled inspection.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives will be identifiable by red polo shirts bearing the USACE logo. American Red Cross personnel will wear distinctive red vests displaying the American Red Cross emblem. U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) personnel will be dressed in blue polo shirts featuring the SBA logo. All personnel will carry official identification badges.

Additionally, the CNMI Individual Assistance Program will coordinate with federal partners to support forward presence operations. These efforts may include the integration of local government personnel to enhance cultural awareness and community engagement.

The CNMI Joint Information Center and its partners express appreciation for the community’s continued cooperation and support as recovery efforts move forward safely and efficiently.

As we continue doing our best to support our students and families with limited capacity and resources during recovery efforts, we will begin distributing elementary and middle school supplemental/enrichment learning packets at select sites.

Learning packets will be distributed on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Families can pick up packets at any distribution site listed on the flyer.
