THE WORLD ACADEMICIANS NETWORK'S CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD

Dr. Anthony Penaso is the President of Caraga State University Philippines since July 2014. He was President of the Caraga Association of State Universities and Colleges (2016-2019) and the incumbent President of the Caraga Higher Education Institutions Association of Presidents and Heads.

Prior to his stint as University President, he has held various administrative positions at Central Mindanao University (CMU) in Musuan, Bukidnon from 2002-2014, namely as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Research and Extension, Director of Instruction; and in concurrent capacity, as OIC-Vice President for Administration, Consortium Director of Northern Mindanao Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (NOMCAARRD), Director of Research, and Dean of the Graduate School.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Education degree major in Mathematics, Summa Cum Laude in 1992, first in CMU’s history; and Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics degree in 1997 also from CMU. He holds five doctorate degrees, namely Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics, Doctor of Science in Mathematics Education, Doctor of Education major in Educational Planning and Management, Doctor of Management, and Doctor of Public Administration. He was also conferred the Doctor of Humanities (honoris causa). He was LET topnotcher (2nd place) in 2006.

He was a Fulbright scholar at the Pennsylvania State University, USA and CDKN fellow at Oxford University, UK. He finished post-graduate certificate courses and international training programs from prestigious universities and research institutions in the USA, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Indonesia, and Singapore. He has extensively traveled to 36 countries around the world as a scholar, visiting fellow, and researcher.

He is a multi-awarded educator, book author, and outstanding alumnus of four universities.

Dr. Nanette Ana Sy Collantes began teaching in 1995. She handled various learners that motivated her to develop herself further. Moreover, she recently completed a doctorate in education management from St. Dominic Savio College, Philippines. She is presently teaching in a public school where she has seen how vital enthusiasm and passion for work are. Recently, she received an Outstanding Teacher award for Innovation in Teaching at World Leaders & Achievers Conclave in India.

For her, we should not stop believing, learning and living life to the fullest.
