A unique English language summer camp exploring the intricacies and joy of the traditional Mongolian nomadic lifestyle with a seriously fun focus on history.

This years Soaring Crane Summer camp is finished and we had an amazing time. Thanks to all of our wonderful students and volunteers who made the week special! Here are just a few highlights of this fantastic experience!

Introducing Jan Bullock! Jan has graciously volunteered to teach our students some of her ways at this years Soaring Crane Summer Camp and we are thrilled to have her. Jan is a life long learner, wilderness expert and true outdoorswoman. From Montana to Alaska Jan has done it all. She is a biologist, veterinary nurse, animal lover, wilderness first aide instructor and much more. Jan will be helping our students learn the ways of the wild, having lived off the grid in Alaska for many years she will be able to pass on her knowledge to our students and help them to thrive in the outdoors.

Spring is in the air and we are setting up the gers for summer. Of course we leave a few for our students to build in order to learn about the most iconic dwelling of Mongolia! Join us this summer to learn how to assemble a ger and then live in it!

Service learning is a key element of Soaring Crane summer camp. Every year students work on a project that they will leave behind to support future campers. Here students from Global Explorations build an outhouse for the camp. Just an example of the kinds of responsible projects that we support every year!

A view from our dining hall, here students meet, relax share stories play games and have a good meal! This space also serves as a classroom and rainy day hideout for those rare rainy summer days!

The Mongolian ger, our students will call these amazing dwellings home for the entirety of there stay at Soaring Crane summer camp. Looking out through the top they will see the stars of the night sky, hear the breeze blowing through the grass outside and feel one with nature for a week of connection and comfortability with the outdoors.

We like to think of nature as our playground where we can learn, explore, create, and take in all that the natural world has to offer us. At Soaring Crane we don't just look at nature, we get our hands dirty, we get out of our comfort zone in the wild places of Mongolia and learn from the land.
