In this month, MUST project team is focusing on the finishing Intermediate Report to TUS. Zoom meeting was organized by TUS among all partners including MUST.

We have discussed and consulted the processing of the project activities, the current situation and difficulties that is occurred because of COVID 19. The meeting was very effective for all of us.

Financial statement from MUST finalized and agreed by TUS.

MUST have changed the initial equipment list and send our request letter to the TUS. TUS informed in the zoom online meeting, that EACEA agreed the change of equipment list for SMART CITY laboratory.

March, 2020

Nowadays, MUST partner works online fully. We are in quarantine. It will continue until 30, March for now.

Emails and Skype discussion and meeting are running among colleagues and project partners. We have meeting with our DDMP students on Skype several times. Students sent us the reports about their studies and lives in RIGA, including benefits and outcomes of their DDMP studies. They presented the presentation about their research works to the project coordinator. We will organize another online meeting between students and Mongolian supervisors.

Coordinator prof. Narantsetseg from MUST had meeting with teachers to select for the “PC teachers training abroad (3.2)” activity. Teacher’s English abilities and professional demands for the project was highly acceptable during the selection procedure. Also, prof. Narantsetseg explained further cooperation with teachers and duties they need to implement after they came back from Erasmus program activities.

December, 2019
After participation in CBHE Cluster meeting at NUM, Mr.Ralf Rahders, Head of Unit of Higher Education-International Capacity Building, visited to Mongolian University of Science and Technology on 5th of December. In this meeting, vice presidents prof.Namnan, officers from international affairs and departments of research and innovation exchanged opinions and had talk about the results of projects and further planning of MUST related with ERASMUS+ projects . Coordinators including Smartcity project coordinator prof.Narantsetseg, project manager Dulmaa, had fruitful discussion with Mr.Ralf Rahders.

18-22 of November 2019 teachers from Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan took part in the training session organized by Chemnitz Technical University. During a week 13 teachers were taught how to use the e-learning system OPAL and the knowledge evaluation software ONIX. OPAL and ONIZ are used at the Saxony Universities. The participants investigated the effective methods of e-training and students' evaluation and made the decision about the development of the Hybrid Learning Space for the double-degree MS students. Partners discussed the development of the MS curriculum in the Smart City Technologies.

Novosibirsk Technological University hosted a summer school participant as part of the project "SMART CITY: an Innovative approach to the master's program in Smart City technologies". July 1- July 5 the representatives of universities in Europe (Bulgaria, Greece, Germany, Latvia, Italy) and Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan gave presentations in Smartcity. The coordinator of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology Narantsetseg Yadmaa chaired the project team. The project coordinators held a regular meeting and made their proposals for the implementation of the project in the future.

A group of teachers from Mongolia has visited ATEI, Thessaloniki and TUS, Bulgaria for intensive training in double-degree master program development, content & methodology. Prof. Catalin Vrabie from ATIC, Romania, has come to TUS and presented lectures on smart city issues. In ATEI the participants have attended lectures of George Stefanidis (Open Technology Services IT company), which was devoted to description basic “building blocks” of smart city applications, a series of lectures and practical workshops of Dr. Christos Tjortjis on the topic of Data Mining Applications, and a series of lectures of Jose Salanova on the topic of smart cities applications in transport domain. They also have visited laboratories and observed technical infrastructure in Centre for Research & Technology-Hellas (CERTH). In TUS the teachers have attended the lectures by Catalin Vrabie, about managing the transformations of a smart cities, have visited the Technological park of Sofia, where the examples of smart cities technologies were shown, visited the advanced laboratories of the TUS.

May 6, 2019 a seminar on the quality assurance system was held at the Sofia Technical University on the project “SMARTCITY: Innovative Approach Towards a Master Program on Smart Cities Technologies” in Sofia, Bulgaria. The major topic of the meeting was the Quality Assurance System in the EU and its application in the project. The meeting was attended by Namnan Tumurpurev /vice president of MUST/, Narantsetseg Yadmaa, project coordinator. Moreover, this seminar was attended by representatives of the team from Russia and Kazakhstan.

Professor Georgi Dukendjiev conducted training on the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European higher education area.

Upon the seminar completion, all participants were awarded certificates.

4-10 of March, 2019 at the University of Applied Science of Salzburg (Austria) there was held the training session for the senior academic administrators.

The delegation from Mongolian University of Science and Technology – representatives: Baatarkhuu (Vice-president), Batdorj (Head of department of development curriculum), Narantsetseg(Director of Graduate School of Engineering).
The event was attended by representatives of major universities from Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, as well as its vendors from Austria (Siemens&SmartCity).
The training seminar was opened by the rector of an Austrian University of applied Sciences of Salzburg, Dr. Gerhard Blechinger.
During the training, buildings, districts of Salzburg and Vienna, built on the basis of SmartCity technologies, were visited. The concept of SmartCity Austria, which brings together key sectors of the economy under the leadership of the government, was presented.
The key issue of the meeting was the discussion of the joint educational program on SmartCity, considered curricula, syllabuses, etc.
As a result of the meeting, the participants discussed possible prospects of cooperation, exchanged experiences, and got acquainted with the educational and material and technical base of the University.

In the Saratov State Technical University. Y. Gagarin December 17-18, 2018 a meeting of all project participants was held at the installation conference to discuss key project issues, conclude an additional agreement and project budget:

During the discussion, the following tasks were identified:
1. To conduct a business analysis of the demand for knowledge and skills in the field of Smart City, using the questionnaire, business partners of INTEC, RUCIO, KAZSEE together want to collect feedback from 30 RU, 20 KZ, 15 MN companies to 31/12/2018.
2. Maintain a monthly distribution of project reports to the Novosibirsk State Technical University.
3. Spread the news on the project on their official sites.
4. Prepare documents for signing the project agreement as soon as possible. Send a bank account to receive funds for the project coordinator.
