Sierra Leone’s Meya Mine Yields 391ct. Rough The Meya mine in Sierra Leone’s Kono district has turned out a high-quality diamond, the second over 100 carats the deposit has produced.

Of the 4Cs, cut has one of the greatest impacts on a diamond’s beauty. Seven factors help determine a standard round brilliant diamond’s cut grade: brightness, fire, scintillation, weight ratio, durability, polish, and symmetry. These seven factors take into consideration a diamond’s face-up appearance, design and craftsmanship and are all closely related. From highest to lowest qualities, cut grades are: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor.

Optimal proportions ensure that the diamond presents an even distribution of bright and dark areas, creating an appealing pattern when viewed face-up. A diamond with Fair to Poor cut grade, on the other hand, may appear dark or dull due to light leakage. It will also have less contrast in its face-up pattern and much less fire. The diamond seen in this image has an Excellent cut grade.

2024 ခုနှစ်အတွင်း Christie’s လေလံအဖွဲ့၏ ပထမဆုံး live jewelry sale ကို မေလ ၁၅ ရက်နေ့တွင် Geneva မြို့မှာတည်ရှိသည့် Four Seasons Hotel ကြီးတွင် ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်မည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
ထိုဟိုတယ်သည် 1969 ခုနှစ်တွင် Christie’s လေလံအဖွဲ့၏ ပထမဆုံးလေလံပွဲကျင်းပရာ နေရာလည်း ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။
ထိုပွဲတွင် The Yellow Rose အမည်ရှိ အလေးချိန် 202.28 ကာရက်ရှိသော မိုးစက်ပုံအဝါရောင်စိန်တစ်ပွင့်ကိုပါ ထည့်သွင်းရောင်းချမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။
၄င်းစိန်ကြီးသည် တောင်အာဖရိကနိုင်ငံမှ ထွက်ရှိပြီး ဒေါ်လာ 4.4 သန်းခန့် ရရှိမည်ဟု ခန့်မှန်းကြပါသည်။
