This course will introduce you to the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™ and provide simple, yet highly effective tools for you to put serving leadership principles into action to create a high-performance culture in your organization.
Course Overview
This course is designed to be much more than helping you learn new information. It is structured to add knowledge, but will focus on changes in actions that will increase your leadership effectiveness.
The Serving Leader Course provides simple, deep, and effective tools and methodologies that put values-based leadership theory into practice to effectively resolve your key leadership challenges.
Workbook Exercises
The Serving Leader Course includes a 121-page course workbook, six 2-hour virtual training sessions, and assessments. In the workbook exercises ahead, you will be asked to complete exercises and create plans that will help you apply the principles you are learning about the Serving Leader Model®. If you need assistance, you can consult with your Cohort Facilitator.
There will be new information that you learn in this course, but our philosophy is that there is a huge knowing/doing gap. It is that gap we want to close.
Foundations
Before going into the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™, we will look at several foundational concepts:
• The link between leadership, culture, and success
• Underneath strategy is culture
• Key factor that determines culture
• 6 characteristics of high-performance culture

What You Will Learn
The Serving Leader Course introduces the Five Actions of Serving Leadership™ and 15 Key Behaviours, created and taught by Dr. John Stahl-Wert, a best-selling author, internationally renowned speaker, leadership coach, and leadership expert.
In the book, The Serving Leader, Dr. John Stahl-Wert identified the Five Actions™ of a serving leader. Underneath each of these actions are three applications or best practices for each action. These 15 applications come from studying great leaders worldwide and identifying specific behaviours being practiced by them that produce both great results and great places to work.
Lesson 1: Run to Great Purpose™
You will learn to define a compelling VISION that describes WHY your Organization exists and inspires your team to bring their best to work every day.

Lesson 2: Raise the Bar™
You will learn to identify and define VALUES that describe HOW your team will operate and learn how to align and hold your team accountable to them.

3. Address Values Gaps with Effective Coaching
Lesson 3: Blaze the Trail™
You will learn to clarify WHAT it is that you do that customers/clients value most and remove barriers so your team stays focused on its MISSION.

Lesson 4: Build on Strength™
You will learn to build a high-performing Organization by matching each team member’s CAPABILITIES and PASSION with WHERE they can contribute most.

3. Use Strength’s Insights to Build High Functioning Teams
Lesson 5: Upend the Pyramid™
You will learn to SERVE and EMPOWER others through effective delegation so you, your team, and your Organization can reach full potential.

Certificates
On the successful completion of the Serving Leader Course, you will be awarded an Executive Certificate of Serving Leadership by the Institute of Professional and Executive Development and a Certificate of Completion from World Serving Leaders.
Your Facilitator:
Rev. Peter T. Mang is a Certified World Serving Leader Training Partner. He is an ordained minister, visionary strategist, instructor, master trainer and facilitator, leadership and executive coach, ministry and leadership consultant, biblical counselor, mission mobilizer, discipler, and catalyst for business as mission and transformational development. Peter serves as the Founder and Visionary strategist of Agape Vision Global and its multifaceted strategic initiatives Agape Mission, Agape Church Planting, Agape Group, Agape University, and Agape Foundation. With over 15 years of experience in fulltime ministry, Peter has served in multicultural missions, church planting, pastoral ministry, ministry leadership, nonprofit leadership, and business and professional services. Peter enjoys working with several international organizations at the local, national, regional, and international levels.
