How many hours do I need to study for each level?

It takes approximately 200 guided learning hours for a language learner to progress from one level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) to the next.

For example, a candidate who has passed B2 (First English) might need approximately 200 hours of lessons and supervised study to prepare for the C1 (Advanced English).

However, there are a number of factors that can affect how long it will take to increase your level of English, including:

🔸the intensity of your study

🔸your age

🔸the amount of study/exposure outside of lesson times

Below suggests how many guided learning hours you might need to reach each level of the CEFR. These figures are intended as a guideline only. You may require more or less time and support depending on your own needs.

Being a graduate of BEd, MPA, and MA in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language, she is a well-trained and well-experienced ESL Teacher, Teacher Trainer, Success Coach & Mentor, and Business & Education Consultant. She has also worked as a Social Enterprise Consultant and “Education for Entrepreneurs” Trainer with the British Council, Myanmar, and a Lecturer for the MBA program at Temasek International College, and a Research Associate with the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is passionate about teaching, training, researching, consulting and coaching.

Taking part in school administration tasks, taking care of inquiries, developing and maintaining a filing system, providing general supports to the students and teachers as necessary, participating in school activities, etc.

▫️Monthly Salary

MMK 300,000 to 500,000 in the first year,
MMK 400,000 to 600,000 in the second year,
MMK 600,000 to 900,000 in the third year, and
MMK 800,000 to 1,500,000 in the fourth year
