မှာ S-63နဲ့ S-57 ကဘာကွာလဲ?

မှာ S-57 နဲ့ S-63 က အဓိကကွာတာက —

S-57 = ENC data format standard
S-63 = ENC data protection / encryption standard လို့ အလွယ်ပြောလို့ရပါတယ်။

ပိုရှင်းအောင်ပြောရရင် —S-57 က IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) သတ်မှတ်ထားတဲ့ ENC data structure standard ပါ။

ဒါက ENC chart data ကို —ဘယ်လို encode လုပ်မလဲ
object / attribute တွေဘယ်လိုထားမလဲ
file structure ဘယ်လိုဖြစ်မလဲ ဆိုတာ သတ်မှတ်ပေးတာပါ။ တနည်းအားဖြင့် “chart data format” ပါ။

ဥပမာ —buoy, lighthouse, depth,coastline

တို့ကို computer ထဲမှာ ဘယ်လိုသိမ်းမလဲဆိုတာ S-57 ကသတ်မှတ်တယ်။

S-63 ကတော့ ENC ကို encryption လုပ်ဖို့ license control လုပ်ဖို့
official source ဟုတ်မဟုတ် verify လုပ်ဖို့ သုံးတဲ့ security standard ပါ။

အဓိကရည်ရွယ်ချက်က — pirate copy မဖြစ်အောင် authorized ECDIS မှာပဲဖွင့်လို့ရအောင် chart tampering မဖြစ်အောင် ကာကွယ်ပေးတာပါ။

ဥပမာ practical အနေနဲ့ —

Hydrographic Office က ENC ထုတ်တယ် →
ပထမ data ကို S-57 format နဲ့ဖန်တီးတယ် →
ပြီးတော့ distribution လုပ်ခါနီး S-63 encryption ထည့်တယ် →
ECDIS ထဲမှာ license permit နဲ့ဖွင့်သုံးရတယ်။

ဒါကြောင့် mariner တွေက “S-63 charts” လို့ပြောရင် အများအားဖြင့် “encrypted official ENC” ကိုဆိုလိုတာပါ။
