Project "Burma on Air" was conducted by Association Education for Peace from Poland in cooperation with Yangon-based Creative Media House, supported by Myanmar Journalists Union in 2012 and 2013. This project is co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme 2012 of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Programme "Support for Democracy".

This year Agnes and Susan will lead a 6-days training on reporting and covering elections on following dates: Taunggyi, September 2-7, 2014 or Mandalay, September 9-14, 2014. Lectures on human rights, political philosophy and conflict resolution by prof. Piotr Balcerowicz (president of Association Education for Peace from Poland) will take place within the framework of the project "Burma on air" on following dates:
Yanogn: 12-16 August, Judson Church, University Estate, Dr. Hla Bu Hall
Mandalay: 23-27 August, AlinDaGar Art School
Lectures will take place daily from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

'Community of Democracies meeting: Suu Kyi receives Geremek Award'

Delegations from over 70 countries - including the Polish delegation headed by MFA Undersecretary of State Jerzy Pomianowski - took part in the 7th Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies which took place on 27-29 April 2013 in Ulan Bator.

The Professor Bronisław Geremek Award for outstanding achievements in promoting democracy went to Burmese opposition activist Aung San Suu Kyi - the first Asian and the first woman to receive this distinction. (author: Solidarity Fund)
