For you - English language educators,
we are planning to organize some workshops for your continuing professional development on 2nd March 2024 (Public Holiday).

We would like to focus on one or both of the following areas:
- Teaching Young Learners
- Teaching Adults

So, if you are interested in joining the workshops, tell us the area(s) and two related topics you are interested in as comments together with your email.

Since the workshops will be in person, there will be limited seats and we will practise "FCFS" policy, FYI.

If you are an English language educator and looking for a program where you can enhance your ELT knowledge and skills while improving your English language proficiency on a regular basic, here is a program for you.

Through this program,
- You will be able to improve your language skills and professional communication skills via collaborative and cooperative learning activities facilitated by an experienced teacher educator and experienced teachers until you achieve a level equivalent to at least IELTS Band 6.5

- You will be able to enhance your ELT knowledge and skills via ELT Literature based discussions and tasks facilitated by an experienced teacher educator and experienced teachers until you are well-prepared for qualifications such as CELTA and DELTA

- You will be able to share your ELT related experiences and find posssible solutions for your ELT related issues together with your peers

- You will be able to join and participate in workshops and talks by guest speakers

- You will be able to participate in fun activities to escape from your routine ones for your well being too.

To join the program,
Basic Requirements
- 18 years and above
- should be teaching English at the moment or in the near future
- passionate about ELT
- willing to learn together with like minded people
- interested in continuing professional development (CPD)
- at least Pre-Intermediate level of English

- Membership Fee - 15, 000 MMK
- Monthly Fee - 50, 000 MMK

Limited Seats though for the program effectiveness.

What is Continuing Professional Development (CPD)?

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. CPD is a holistic approach towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout a professional’s career.

What is CPD?
Continuing Professional Development is a commitment to ongoing lifelong learning. CPD encourages looking forward and identifying opportunities to learn something new, refresh existing knowledge, improve skills, or simply keep up-to-date with the latest developments within a particular profession or industry.

In practice, CPD can mean everything from taking a training course or attending an educational event, to studying for new qualifications or learning new aspects of a job.

Continuing Professional Development enables learning to become conscious and proactive, rather than passive and reactive. It involves an individual documenting and keeping a record of the increasing skills, knowledge and experience they gain throughout their career.

CPD combines different methodologies to learning, which includes training courses, seminars, workshops, conferences and events, webinars and online eLearning programs. CPD can also include sharing best practice techniques, thoughts and ideas, all focused towards an individual improving within the work environment.

Engaging in CPD activities ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated or obsolete, and allows for individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves regardless of their occupation, age or educational level.

Continuing Professional Development is an ongoing process of frequently improving skills and competencies to enhance workplace performance and future career prospects.
